Carl's = best ice cream in DC. Always stop there when in/going through Fredericksburg. I only wish they didn't close over winter. I recommend the Pineapple Shake !

Only open from right before valentines day to the Sunday before thanksgiving. The long lines move fast and they only take cash. Try the root beer slush float - worth its weight in gold!

Delicious custard . It was my first time, so obviously I had to order a half pint so I could try the vanilla , strawberry and chocolate custards .

The best place to end a great night with a classic custard shake or cone . It’s a tradition and is well worth any line . Price is reasonable as well .

Don't be put off by the line waiting, they move efficiently and the ice cream is worth the wait! The root beer slushies are delicious as well !

Decent, but not the best ice cream in the D.C. area. Dairy Godmother in Alexandria, VA has better custard . Larry's Ice Cream , Thomas Sweet, and Ice Cream Jubilee in D.C. have better ice cream .
