Super casual and hip SoCal Mexican. I had the breakfast burrito at the bar . Burrito was decent. Will definitely go back to try some of the other things on the menu.

The service was good, the waitress attentive, good timing, over all nice place for lunch especially when it's a lunch date with your mom...lol :-)

Crispy sprouts w peanut sauce and matchstick radish v good. Chipotle wings with pickled green beans also on point (mild for my taste, but very well cooked). Reasonable price for a meal.

The guac is solid, there are many hot sauce choices, and the food is generally yummy. Drinks tend to be a little sweet or spicy , so come hungry!

Simply the best. Been coming here almost every Friday night for years. Standard is the Tostada Salad with Steak . Service is great, atmosphere is great, you won't be disappointed.

Their black bean and tofu asado tacos are really solid veg options . You won't feel slighted in the least with either as there's balance of flavours and ingredients, even some complexity in taste.

Get the elote !!!! Fish taco is standard and good- crack sauce really is delicious. Pork taco has great flavor! Get a tecate to wash all the deliciousness down!

The Chiclets gum at the end of your meal is a nice touch. Plus, helps settle your stomach after those delicious chicken quesadillas .

Be sure to check their Twitter before heading out. Not unusual to have a 30 minute wait between noon-1, carne asada quesadilla with chipotle crack sauce to dip is my favorite, no lines at 2pm on

Try the Baja Fish burrito . It's beer-battered with mango salsa , so it's sweeter, but coupled with the spicy slaw , there's a great balance of flavor. If you're afraid of fish in mexican food , try this.

Brunch time is the best time. Same perfect margaritas and and delicious food(plus the added benefit of breakfast burritos and quesadillas ) and no wait!

The rolled quesadillas with carne asada and the guacamole and chips are delicious. Make sure you ask for the crack sauce with anything you eat!

Cute lil spot, their quesadilla especially with the "crack" sauce, the hot wings are on point, so is the blue cheese ! My boyfriend had the taco which he loved.

The Baja - fish taco - es muy bien. I also suggest the bean burrito bowl . Yes, the crack sauce is good but I don't think you should feel obliged to get something that has it.

Order whatever u want and u will be pleased but make sure it has crack sauce and a side of chili cilantro fries ! You're welcome.

Big fan of the bar . Staff is awesome and no matter how packed and full of cool kids this place can get, always feel welcome getting a drink alone at the bar which I guess makes it my new local.

jalapeño mint margarita is BOMB and so are the tacos and quesadillas ! BUT not all dishes are created equal. the breakfast burrito is 90% rice and the coffee is watery.

Reminds us of a slightly classier , more charmingly sterile El Chilito. A black bean burrito with a squirt of "crack sauce " and a margarita with a heavily salted rim is all we need to be happy here.

If you're lucky enough to be here on a weekend get the bacon , egg and cheese breakfast quesadilla it will change your outlook on life.

The breakfast burrito is the best thing on the menu! Especially if you're big on rice-y and sauce-y burritos . And the smoked chorizo makes it.

The fish tacos are incredible! The El Jardin cocktail was mediocre the time I tasted it, but the margaritas and chips are on point.

The food is solid, but try the chile habanero hot sauce if you want to know how hot Hell is. Wash it down with an El Barrio brew, exclusive from Sixpoint for Calexico.

The Carne Fries are stupidly good. My only, only complaint is that the brisket was a bit fatty. Other than that, dig in.

Get extra Crack Sauce and bring presents to Miguel in the take out window at the back. There's a 99 cent store up the block on Manhattan called Dreams. Get him toys from there.

It's not the best Mexican food , but Calexico is a pretty tasty takeout option and I like their burrito bowls a lot.

Huge fan of the gringo taco . Calexico is more like Taco Bell than traditional Mexican food . In that category it's good.

If what you ordered doesn't have crack sauce , get the crack sauce as an add-on. You won't regret it.

Much like chipotle. I got the carne asada and the steak was perfectly cooked. Rice to steak ratio was not proportional.
