One of my favorite coffee shops in town . Great espresso drinks and small selection of pastries . The downtown location is also a great spot for hanging out and enjoying a cup of joe.
They don't only make amazing coffee , but also have a great business model. They're in it to make you the best coffee possible!
This is the "it" coffee roaster in America right now. The cafe and baristas are top notch! Their espresso is to die for! Not a fan of their brewed coffee . Roast is too light. (3 of 4 petals via Fondu) Read more
Some call it perfection, others call it Heart Coffee Roasters. I’m pretty sure every coffee drink and bag of beans has the potential to change your life. And they steam those alt milks like a boss!
This shop is chill and makes outstanding espresso drinks . One of the more laid-back places in PDX. Best of all, it's down the street from Screen Door, one of the best brunch places in Portland.
For Oregon, is probably the most scientific in their approach to roasting, and is this probably the 'best' roaster in Oregon. Their drip is also very dialled.
A chai or latte with the house cashew-almond milk is so perfect.
Fantastic latte ! Spacious and great vibe, though a little loud with the background music and chatter.
This is a coffee lover’s dream come true. Take a note from wine aficionados and order a flight to taste the distinct difference in their coffees !
the seasonal honey latte was delicious: not too sweet, and the espresso wasn't overpowered. the shop itself is beautiful.
Really cool place with great coffee ! The roaster proudly takes centre stage in the room and there is a really cool vintage map of Portland!
This Portland roaster/duo of cafes is one by which many others are measured. Why is that? Because they have a primary “focus on taste, quality, & clarity” where one-size-fits-all labels don’t apply. Read more
Batch brew is always good here, ask for a bag of beans recommendation if you feel overwhelmed by their variety.
We love small coffee brewers — known locally as microroasters — like Heart. The coffee is so smooth and flavorful that it barely needs milk .
Some of the best coffee in the city ! Heart is best for socializing and book reading; leave studies and work for elsewhere as outlets are scarce and the wifi is sketchy .
The seasonal Kenya Mirii is one of my favorite beans for cold brew .
They roast in the shop! A bar wraps around their probat which fills the coffee shop with the smell of coffee while their roasting.
Spicy chai is actually spicy , and you do your own sweetening.
Great place to get a solid cup of great coffee or really amazing espresso drinks .
The cold brew is amazing. I love their honey syrup
Progressive, light-roasted coffee served in a sterile but friendly setting, roaster on site.
Great coffee . Not my scene coffee shop wide so I just take out here.
People must be high for this place to be so highly rated. $4.50 for a small cap. Espresso was bitter & acidic. Croissant was fine. PS $2 for an extra shot. TWO DOLLARS. You have got to be kidding me.
Yay, love this place! Great coffee and positive vibes!
What to Order: Heart’s known for its espresso , which it makes in a volumetric Spirit espresso machine.
This is the little coffee roaster that could. Super-cozy interior and a very happy cup is made.
They've got a darn yummy spiced chai ! This place is my go to when I'm in town !
Despite the name, they don't actually sell hearts here. Or any other organs . Try the bi-monthly PDX Black Market instead.
Gorgeous little shop with the espresso to back it up. Outlets were scarce here.
Latte is smooth, berry brioche really rich in a good way.
House drip, great coffee to gift
Hands down, one of the best quad shot mochas I have ever had in my life...
I think most people here need a hug. Also: nobody should toast in front of people; its unseemly!
Almond milk available! Such an excellent difference over soy.
Come in the morning and be mesmerized by the roaster.
House mad walnut-almond milk cappuccino is lit fam!!! ????????????
Delish coffee and friendly people. Coffee lovers rejoice!!
Their coffee rocks. Nice scones too.
Begrudgingly a neighborhood favorite. I just wish things weren’t so expensive .
House coffee plus a refill is a great, tasty deal?
The staff is snooty and they turn their wifi off on the weekends. Thanks a lot.
The drip coffee is tremendously good.
The affogato was one of the best.
Bring a container and try to get them to sell you beans by the pound. Sometimes it works! The more people do this, the better, because their bags are icky plastic.
Number one in the country , they say. I'll let you know
try the house made walnut-almond milk
Homemade nut milks taste weird in espresso drinks .
Amazing coffee
Always good coffee .
Heart is awesome. They now offer almond milk ! Little pricey but a great alternative!
Outstanding espresso drinks! If you're unsure of which espresso to order (they have a rotating menu of two options), ask the barista for a recommendation with your preferences and tastes in mind. Yum! - Luke Bornheimer
They have two delicious soups everyday and great sandwiches, quiche, etc. (But come early if you want the quiche!) Great coffee, too. - Lane Collins
Super friendly service even as hip as it is and the coffee is delish. You have to ask for the cream but they DO have it ;) - Alley Hector
Everything has been on point. Arrive early no reservations, worth the wait. Bring your appetite, otherwise prepare to have leftovers. - Toné M
Great selection of apparel and shoes by independent designers, as well as beauty stuff, jewelry, accessories, gifts and more. - Melissa Lim
THE ultimate brick and mortar (new and used) book store. The staff are extremely friendly & knowledgeable. The selection is huge. Free Wifi. - Dennis H.
