Really lovely, perfect for a romantic date . Order the quartino of prosecco--it comes in a ceramic jug. One salad , one pasta , one entree, and a cheese plate was the perfect amount of food for two.

Italian vermouths made in house, a list of 8 negroni variations , rustic braised chicken livers and a super foxxy maitre' who reminded me of Adriana La Cerva from The Sopranos! Like!

Beautiful restaurant . Wood paneling evokes an old Italian library or pharmacy . Recs: Thyme maltagliati w/ roasted mushrooms . Pignoli cookies for dessert . Service isn't in-your-face. Great vibe overall

I’m not sure why this place gets such good reviews. The homemade bread was bland as was the beet salad . The house red and the wild boar were tasty, though the pici was too sweet. I mean, it was ok.

Splurge on the secondi at this century-old pharmacy-turned-Tuscan gem, or (wisely) build a meal around the antipasti and excellent homemade pastas .

Great decor, lovely vintage furnitures and boiserie of a old pharmacy drug store ... The menu is complete and the food is great, but the distinction is in the bar ... Genius inventions!! You find out :)

Great service, could spend hours looking at all the old pharmacy stuff that's all throughout the space. And yes, very tasty Tuscan Italian food , too. I'll be back like Arnold.

Wow...where to start. Great service, awesome atmosphere. I absolutely loved the chicken livers . Some of the best I've had. Pappardelle ? Yes please. An overall amazing experience.

So rustic . Feels so authentically Italian too. Not American-Italian but Italian-Italian. Also inside a cute old drug store . Perfect for a date or at least a friend your mildly attracted to.

Come here to understand life and Italy. The cod with leaks is like being in Vernazza. Salt when salt is needed and no salt when no salt is needed. Necessities from tripe and liver up to duck and pate .

This is one of the best meals I've ever eaten. Go with friends and do the tasting menu . Get house wine for your second round -- they measure the bottle with a ruler: you only pay for what you drank!

Omg, everything was so delicious. Authentic Tuscan style cuisine, freshly made pastas-- try the mushroom and chestnut one, the tripe dish, and their Rhubarb spritz.

Anchovies , Pappardelle , and the Duck Breast makes for a perfect meal for 2. Inside is lovely but if it's the summer, try to get a table outside .

Great interior with old-fashioned drugstore vibe; not very large portions but delicious and pasta perfectly al dente . Get the black pepper pici pasta !

This place is such a gem. Romantical [sic] vibe and insanely good handmade pasta . Last time I had the thyme maltagliati, yum!

The fettunta, fig salad , sage pappardelle and olive oil cake were all incredibly delicious.

This place is so delicious. Maybe the best traditional, rustic Italian food I've had in NYC. The baccala and leeks over chick peas is wonderful. For wine , you can't go wrong with Rosso di Montalcino.

Great ambience, delicious pasta , a bit pricey if just for a "imtoolazytocook" sort of meal, but definitely a great place for family and dates.

If you love truffles Taglierini al Tartufo is a must try.

The pesto gnocchi and sample of olives were really good. The seabass with leeks was pretty good. The burrata was disappointing.

This place has the best olives and olive oil . The best cheese plate !!! And the pasta dishes!!!

One of the few and best legit Italian places in NYC, even thought vitello tonnato is with pork for some obscure reason.

Sign up for the tasting menu . Too bad they only hold these once per season – but well worth it! The Tagliatelle al Ragu is delicious!
