Best food n Fort Greene, hands down. They do it right here, with menu changes daily and truly authentic Italian food cooked with soul power. Elegant, understated, well executed.
Finally found a place to get radicchio served as good as when living in Italy - the Treviso was perfect <3 The daily cocktails are great too. Lovely service and ambience both inside and out front.
Favorite neighborhood spot . Menu changes daily. Some recent favorites: wilted spinach in duck broth over croutons with pecorino & chicken diavolo. Great wine list particularly if you love orange wine .
The food is soooo good! It can get crowded most nights, so expect a wait, pass the time at Alibi across the street for a good dive bar before your upscale dinner ;)
VDay menu was a great range of well done food. Very romantic and festively themed. Attentive staff and service. A bit snug and dark. Great for small special group dinners .
Great service and always interesting and delicious wines by the glass. Love to sit at the bar for brunch or dinner .
Everything here is great. The menu changes often, and the staff are extremely knowledgable about food, wine , and drinks. I go more often that I'd like to admit :)
Great take on modern Italian, with an American flair and organic ingredients . Attention to detail; pasta is really al dente here, not under/overcooked. Cosy atmosphere and impeccable service to boot!
saturday beach day: ride to and fort tilden, hot shower , aperol spritz , and sit out front at Romans for dinner with friends. the best. ????
Chocolate Sorbet : New York Magazine described this as 'more like a refreshingly cold ganache , a looser pot de crème, or an artisanal Fudgsicle'. Absolutely incredible!
Want a great drink? Ask Ryan, he'll hook you up. Calling this place pricey would imply it wasn't worth every penny and it is! You me...wine is important to me and it's important to them as well ! Do it
Menu changes daily, so not much point in recommendations. Everything Ive eaten, especially pastas , has been delicious. Portions are smaller than expected, though.
The chocolate sorbet is the best chocolate anything I've ever had. Really.
Great service.... The server explained every item on the menu. All food choices were excellent. Great cocktails . Can't go wrong here.
menu changes daily. great options all around, they come up with wonderfully unique, tasty dishes - even their apps and salads .
Go with light dishes so you can order more plates than just one or two. Fantastic dinner spot. Great wine options (including organic wines ).
Try the Maccheroni With Pork Sausage And Rapini - As always, pasta was perfectly cooked and dish was perfectly balanced. A light stock supported the flavors beautifully.
Everything has flavor and freshness. Radicchio salad , calamari chickpea pasta and scallops aioli . Expect to wait.
I mean, it's pretty damn good, but if you're rarely in Fort Greene I'd suggest a-bistro or madiba first if you haven't tried them yet.
Try the Baked Egg With Minestrone And Pesto - Hearty, with lots of fresh, seasonal veggies . Felt #healthy & absolutely #delicious. #perfection #inmymouth
Menu changes daily, but everything is amazing. Try a couple of the pastas . You won't be disappointed.
The food is great, the wine is great, and the service is great. And they're gratuity free. But I still have to say it was overpriced...
Try the Pork Sandwich - I could eat this every day. Served with anchovy dressing & chicory on a fluffy, lightly grilled olive oil bun . #perfection
Try the Chicken Al Diavolo - Perfectly cooked, with fresh vegetables . I've never had this with fresh tomatoes instead of sauce; made a huge difference. Wow.
Loved the bucatini carbonara & the salted dark chocolate sorbet was amazing!!
Try the Spaghetti With Canelli Beans, Herbs And Tomato - Light, blissfully fresh and perfectly cooked. A light stock supported the flavors beautifully.
The pinnacle of cozy ! Really friendly and informative staff . Don’t skip the arncini or the chocolate sorbet .
When weather permits, request one of the candlelit alfresco tables: There's no better perch from which to soak up the Fort Greene scene. Read more
Menu changes everyday and never disappoints. 1 starter, 1 main and 1 salad is perfect for two
Good for dates . Slightly pricey but quality pasta
Taste - Stracchino, agnolotti , House-cured ham (salty but still soft to the tooth, had an appealing herbal, grassy flavor that really made one wonder what that pig had been eating) Read more
The Italian restaurant offers killer cuts of beef and you can always count on the ingredient-driven menu to change nightly.
Love that they have two special cocktails each night - the "sour" and the "bitter." ( I alwaze get the sour ☺)
Beyond delicious. The chocolate sorbet is to die for, and the service is wonderful.
The food changes daily but is always excellent. The pasta dishes are always a great choice
Great date night place. Sit at the bar , the tables are kind of cramped.
Amazing striped bass and braciola - great neighborhood spot for brunch .
The sazerac is incredible. Menu rotates often but I'm never disappointed.
Simple spaghetti and Tomato dish is where it's at. Forgot just good it can be.
Get the Chicken Al Diavolo if its on the menu - it's completely worth it, trust me. Enough for two people.
I've never paid so much money to eat so little (albeit decent) food. If you live nearby step in and buy a loaf -- it's the only fair meal here.
Waitstaff is amazing. Food is fresh and delicious every single day....
You must try the beet salad with cheese croutons and onion frittata . Read more
Try the Smoked Bluefish With Poached Egg And Charmoula - Perfectly balanced, fish skin slightly crispy , wow.
Delicious food, great wine in a great space
Try the chocolate sorbet :)
Great service. Nice place to chill , have a chat and cocktails with friends.
Pasta dishes were fabulous, the deserts were outstanding.
Try the Cardamom Walnut Cake - Like a cup of chai on a plate. A little dry, but delicious.
Always something new. Freshest produce. Best staff .
Cavatelli! Cavatelli! Cavatelli! Cavatelli! Cavatelli! Cavatelli! - Angela
The fettuccine is really great. Strong cocktail making skills present. Great atmosphere. Best bathroom. - Wesley Verhoeve
Amazing location in a former pharmacy, delicious fresh pastas, and such a friendly staff. Love this place! - Noelle Sadler
Hopefully you have Tara as a bartender then it's a great night guaranteed. Creative, refreshing drinks, and seats turnover quicker than expected. Solid place for a date or small group together. - Jess Naldo
Fun neighbourhood spot. Always a good vibe. Great decorations for Halloween and holidays. Open late for food. Good selection of beers. Nice crowd. - Michael Jones
