Trattoria La Ruga

Upmarket romantic Italian restaurant in the heart of waltham village . The food is absolutely delicious. It is however quite empty a lot of the time and the prices somewhat high.

It should open during the day. One of the most characterful interiors on Orford Road - all warm brown walnut -and a great place to spread out your paper and get high on caffeine and patisserie .

Fantastic French and Italian food . Menu changes daily. Talk to them about their wine , they know what they're doing.

Great food. Highly recommended. Make sure you have the peanut butter ice-cream if it's on. :-)

Yet another great evening at La Ruga. Great food, great wine , great service. Well worth investigating. Booking recommended at the weekends though...

Food is pricey for Walthanstow, but then it is by far and away the best restaurant in Walthamstow

Not sure really... Over priced and no pasta at the weekends. Mixed messages with an iyalian/French fusion of meals. Still can't figure out what time this is and the hand scribbled menu is really poor!
