Xiao long bao , spicy wonton , pork chop and finally the first real nice hot and sour soup (not the usual salty one from typical Chinese restaurant/take away)
3 times the price of DTF in Shanghai, but that’s not really a surprise. Tastes pretty legit. Let’s hope they open a Fuchun in London soon.
Taiwanese restaurant that has finally opened in London. There’s a reason there are still queues at the original Taiwanese branches - DTF serves good comfort food which is affordable even in London.
I used to go to the original Din Tai Fung regularly. The food here gets a solid 75-80/100. Service, price, and interior upkeep get a ~20/100. Still worth it.
It was the first time I ate dumplings and it was so delicious. The restaurant is nice and waiters are great! A place to try but have to arrive early to avoid a long wait ...
DTF is delicious. Midweek late lunch there was no queue. Service was ok, the food was sensational. It’s pricier than other DTF’s in Asia. Chili crab and the chicken Dumplings were my favourite.
Delicious but so, so expensive compared to decent options in nearby Chinatown. Now with outside tables for social distancing!
Very spacious and busy, they will msg you when ur table is ready!
great southern Chinese cuisine , fast and polite service good safety everyone from the waiters to the kitchen have the mask on we will be back
DTF is like the McDonald’s of Taiwanese cuisine, but the good aspects: reliably tasty XLB, decent service etc. Come on the edges of peak meal times to make sure you’re not waiting for hours.
It’s a bit pricier than it should be, and yes, it’s not as good as in Asia, but still tasty. Use the Walkin app to join the queue before you arrive
Make a waiting room inside the lobby for people w reservation if necessary. I have been here the fourth time, but I guess this will be the last!
Definitely give the salty yolk custard buns a try, one of the best in London.
They have seating on two floors. The sour and spicy soup is a must-have.
What can I say? Not quite as polished as the DTF restaurants in greater China. But a great Xiaolongbao treat in London.
Great varieties of dumplings and bun , all of which are amazing and authentic !!
No doubt this is the best steamed dumplings aka Xiao Long Bao on earth
Stick with the xiao long bao dumplings . And save space for the mango pomelo sago pudding .
Amazing dumplings and noodles !! Lava chocolate dumpling is ok, a bit doughy.
The soup dumplings were well made. Hard to recommend until they sort out teething issues. They ran out of ginger so we had to have dumplings without. Avoid bubble teas as they are horribly sweet.
If you don’t eat pork , don’t even think about coming here. Almost every dish on the menu has pork in it.
Shao Mai with prawns on top!
Can’t go wrong with the soup dumplings .
Pork steamed bun , spicy prawn wontons
Food Comes fast. Mobile online ordering works perfectly.
Xiao Long Bao + Wontons ????
On the fence here. Dumplings were nice and we had pork & noodles which was also ok. But given the amount of fantastic restaurants in London, I don’t think you’ll miss anything if you skip on this one.
Heaven. Delicious.

???????????????????????? top
Try the pork chop
Wait tes are overestimated. Was told 82 minutes for a table for two, got it within 45. Don't trust the waiting app timer!
Mediocre food, at fine dining prices. First and last time.
The dumplings are outstanding but they to work on their service.
Xiao Long Bao to die for!
If you are brown, the person taking your name would just show major attitude and you would not feel welcomed at this place. I stood and watched how she spoke to the others and could see the difference
Lovely dumplings !
Most of the food included pork . The restaurant was so expensive .
Way more than 6.4 rating! Over 8.5 imho!
Terrible food. Don’t believe the clearly paid for reviews, it was tasteless and expensive for chewy hard meat
45 min queue, Chinese tea by the cup, beers @ £6/bottle, food is just ok, calm ambience. Ken Hom review by the front door. Lots of buzz on Instagram. All the ingredients of an unsustainable business.
I personally enjoyed their taro buns . But their other dishes can be hit or miss if you're to too in tune with Chinese food .
Pretty disappointing. You’re paying for hype and location. I waited in line just to get on the waiting list. Bottom floor is 3/4 empty. Food was under seasoned and pretty bland? Wouldn’t recommend
The xiao long bao (soup dumplings ) are divine, but for a good tonkatsu you're better off at CoCo Ichi. If you've tried the xiao long bao once, I don't see many reasons to come back — queues or not.
In case you come alone and ask for a table for 2, you will not be seated until your partner arrives... that is a terrible service and I never heard of it anywhere else.
Awesome front window entertainment watch them make handmade dumplings and noodles yum great service not normal of Chinatown! - Yasmine
Great to have a spot like this in E5 / E9. Authentic dim sum, but Shanghai Dalston still pips it for variety and quality (if not for on-trend interior design) - A.
Awesome for furry hats! Also the Seagar and pipe shop is lovely, and the Tea Palace does some awesome teas. - Karen D
Amazing interior, beautiful theatre! Saw the nutcracker, it was wonderful! Lovely champagne cocktails which we pre ordered for the interval. - Emily-jane
Expertly made flat white - perfect texture and delicious nutty flavour with none of the bitterness. - Kukkii Koppee
