Just like its downtown brother, you come to this Chinese hotspot for their amazing soup dumplings – get both the crab and the pork – they’re one of the best in NYC.

Alice Nam

Worth the wait. Soup dumpling , the crispy pork , mushroom with bok choy and of course tsingdao! Perfect lunch . Will try the downtown location nxt time tho.

Jeremy Jacobowitz

Lucky enough the live above here! SO tempting to eat every meal from here! Soup dumplings are incredible but don't forget the scallion pancakes , pork dumplings , general Tsao chicken , and everything!

Derek Fromson

Succulent crab and pork soup dumplings are a can't miss. The scallop and shrimp dumplings are very tasty too. The chicken and corn soup and stir-fried noodles with beef are good options for the kids.

Lacey Capps

The best pork soup dumplings & spicy cabbage I've ever had - always my go to lunch spot on a budget! Outstanding freshness & awesome service. Yoko Ono has been known to visit upon occasion. #hotspot

For the adventuresome there is drunken crab , a sort of ceviche of raw Maryland blues marinated in yellow rice wine , with the cerulean of the shell creating a contrast with the electric-orange roe . Read more

Quieter than the China town location. And not family style seating which can be nice. Everything is really delicious and well prepared

Carrie Lawson

The pork soup dumplings are the reason to come! The beef lo mein was incredibly delicious also and the service was miles better than the pushy downtown location.

FRITZ fritztheyodeler

The great "soup " wontons ... plus everything else. A very authentic and delicious experience is what you will find here.

Nate S

I’m a fan of the Joe’s in Chinatown but I won’t come back to this one. Make the trek downtown instead - the soup dumplings were too dry/everything was 1.5x the price. Silver lining : it’s quiet here

Far and away, the nicest of the three locations. The dumplings were still amazing and the staff was wonderful. You'll be hard pressed to find a better place to eat in Midtown.

Kathryn Wong-Crooks

Must haves: the salt & pepper shrimp , and their moo shoo pork . Be careful not to over order! Their portions are generous, & besides, why on earth would you want anything but NYC's best soup dumplings ?

Madison Early

Soup dumplings are the best in midtown! If you don’t wanna go all the way to Chinatown , this is your best bet.

James

Definitely the best dumplings I've ever had. Well done, Joe. My only regret is ordering things other than dumplings - after the first taste, they were all I wanted.

natalie kay

If you only get one thing, make it the soup dumplings . But try more! Pancakes are yummy! Super fast meal.

AmateurConcierge

The soup dumplings are the highlight, and I find the crab/pork to be more balanced than the standalone pork offering. Scallion pancakes are well regarded but a bit too doughy in my opinion

R B

Very quick service , are you in a rush. That's a cool place. Decent price for the region and good stuff. Try the beef with black mushrooms and bamboo shots.

Ailie Chang

Soup dumplings are still delish at this location but you pay a higher price and get less dumplings than the Chinatown location . Get the Watermelon Slush :)

dawn.in.newyork

Seafood pan fried noodle . Noodle is uniquely delicious and the quality of seafood is super fresh.

David Ban

Slightly less charming than the downtown location, but still great. Soup Dumplings , string beans w/ pork , maybe Peking Duck if you're feeling frisky.

Christa Hoegler

The pork soup dumplings lived up to my high expectations. Regretted ordering the ~$20 genera tsao's entree at first but that ended up being pretty yummy as well .

Robert Accettura

There's a million reviews that will tell you this. If you go here, you will order the dumplings . Here's the secret: you will wonder how you can increase your stomach capacity to eat more.

Emily Butler

Pork soup dumplings are a must. Top off with moo-shu pork pancakes , beef with string beans , general Tso's and some jasmine tea , and life is good.

Eman Abdulaziz

The dumplings are one of the best. I tried the noodles , it was good, but not that delicious.

Nathanael Cho

Nicer than the Chinatown location , but also a bit pricier . Really great service (lots of staff ) and soup dumplings are of course good.

Jeremy Jacobowitz

The BEST Chinese food in NYC! Soup dumplings , pork dumplings , scallion pancakes , general Tsao chicken ! It goes on and on....

J Ro

pork soup dumplings are bomb. they give you less here and it costs more than their Chinatown location . also, their sautéed bok choy with garlic costs $15! eeeeek

Christine Jeanjaquet

If you want to take home the soup dumplings , call in 3 hours before so you can order them frozen and stock up. Then when you pick up, might as well eat there too. :)

dawn.in.newyork

Lunch special menus are not worth trying (as you can see the picture). Stick to regular menus and pork soup dumplings .

Peggy

The soup dumplings are SO much better here compared to their Chinatown location ! Plus, you don't have to deal with a wait at all, even during prime lunch time of 12:30!

Holly Cynthia

Pork soup dumplings are great. This location is much pricier than Chinatown . Also had the spicy crispy beef - delicious

dawn.in.newyork

Crispy shredded spicy beef . Sweet and slightly garlicky taste. So good.

Harry Nolan

Dumplings just as great as everyone says. Was told 45 min queue and sat down after 25. Great Meal - $63 for 2 satisfied people

Mar Sal

Amazing Soup Dumplings ! Be careful, there is an art to eating soup dumplings without getting them on yourself.... Crispy beef was so so good!

Auri Ghatak

Soup dumplings soup dumplings soup dumplings , did I say soup dumplings ? The pork ones are the best.

Renard Rogers

The xiao long bao was pretty good. Great spot to bring a friend for an authentic chinese dumpling experience.

Tami Adair

The crab & pork soup dumplings are the bizness here! Been here twice with coworkers for lunch and will definitely be back!

Dai Shi

The soup dumplings are incredibly juicy. Bite a little hole and slurp the soup before taking a bigger bite.

Jarel Hill

Awesome dumplings . Pan fried. Orange chicken was bomb. Fried rice also great.

Ramy Ashour

Reasonable prices ,Good food , we tried the scallions pancakes , but nothing special its like a nun bread texture . Dumplings and main courses are really good.

Jag Firerwalker

The soup dumplings are definitely a must have, but the normal ones mmmhh maybe if they would invent something that would make the more soupy.

Ada Chiu

This location has better food, service, and decor than the one in Chinatown in the city , but the prices are nearly double. The dumplings are amazing. Good experience overall.

Eug K

Soup dumplings and the noodle soups are amazing! Very reasonably priced as well

Kari Y

The best soup dumplings in uptown, dumpling skin is very thin, a must!

Patrick

Spicy broccoli and vegetable dumplings are clutch. Service here is ridiculously good.

Tami Adair

Awesome Crab & Pork Soup Dumplings . We get them every time. Be sure to ask for the red oil. SOO good!!!

Kim D.

Some of the best Chinese food I've ever had... Try the soup dumplings , crispy beef , scallion pancakes and fried green beans . Yum!

Michael Schneider

Don't leave without trying the pork and crab soup dumplings . Perfect for a quick snack in midtown.

Katt

Soup dumpling ???? , lichee martini ❤️, for a great price point . I have been here twice

Elek V

Had the crab/pork soup dumplings and the Shanghai wonton soup , which was better than the dumplings .
