Mānoa Falls

Relatively easy hike into a jungle paradise. Be careful of the brown clay when it rains as it can be really slippery!

Book with a tour operator to fully appreciate the hike . Muddy, gravel and rock strewn path leads to one of many waterfalls on the island . Surreal sights along the way. A must do.

Easy trail in the forest . Good pics to take with the trees and the fall. You can go to swim but be careful of the rocks, don't fall ! Lot & a lot of moskitos, be prepared !

Great place!!! There's a waterfall and a bamboo Forrest and during my hike I saw cute little piggies. If you're planning to hike all the way to the top bring lots of water and snack . Lovely big trees2

What a beautiful trail . Loved coming here while it was raining because being in the jungle in the rain is a sensory experience not to be missed

Great hike . About 2km one. Gets quite muddy and a bit steep. My son went for a swimm under the waterfall .

Monoa is great but if you're headed this way it's worth checking out Lyon Arboretum. It's literally next door and has its own trails filled with Hawaiian and other exotic plants.

Trail to the falls in easy and 30 mins, if you take a left AT the falls it can easily become 3 hours and moderate-hard in muddy weather but worth it!

30 minutes walk to reach falls and 20 minutes to come down. Good exercise. Amazingly big trees . We could feel nature.

Expect heavy but brief rainfall. Weather changes quickly but well worth the views . About 1 hr round trip. Get there before 10am to avoid the crowds.

When the path is wet, it's slippery. Be careful and wear good shoes . Have time to explore? The bamboo "forest " on the side of the path is quite beautiful.

The trail is amazing! The vegetation is so diverse, from banyans to bamboos . Though the volume of water of the falls wasn't much since it was the end of summer

Great half hour walk (each way) to see a nice waterfall . Relatively easy but there is a slight incline and rocks can get a little slippery

Manoa Falls is a lush green jungle hike . A 20 – 30 minute walk through the dense tropical forest with a pretty nice waterfall at the end of the trail .

A really easy path for a really big wildlife experience! Flowers , planets, waterfall ! Awesome! Pay attentions, it's really rainy hear.

This short and easy hike takes you through the lush rainforest. Swimming in the pool of the waterfall is discouraged, but the views are worth the trek.

Try to go in the morning because the trail gets very busy once the day starts to move along. DO NOT wear flip flops .

Amazing place. Def wear sneakers vs slippers as it gets muddy and slippery. Some bug spray may help too

Lessons learned: Don't wear flip flops (like I did), grab bamboo sticks as your walking stick (it gets muddier as you get to the top), and don't forget your bug spray .

Beautiful trail for a hike . Probably can be very muddy and slippery so be careful if you go after a rainy day.

If it is really muddy on the trails , I would highly recommend just going barefoot. There aren't any bugs to worry about and it is much easier to clean your feet than mud-soaked shoes

beautiful! Well worth the hike . Like others said, wear tennis shoes , etc, not flip flops . Not sure how many would wear flip flops anyway on a hike - lol

Hike early to avoid crowds . Bring insect repellent and a change of clothes , it can be very muddy .

It's a nice hike to the waterfall . Be sure to use bug spray & shoes you don't mind getting dirty . The second trail after the falls gets a little muddy.

Hike to Manoa Falls is easy. Trail improvements are underway. Last .2/.3 of trail is on slippery rocks and some mud.

Watch out for the mud on the upper sections; try stepping through the roots instead of the slippery metal cross ties. Bring a walking stick for added safety.

Nice hike and waterfall but most of the trail is very muddy so be prepared to get dirty . Make sure to wear the right shoes and use bug spray .

I wore some flat slippers. It rained. It was muddy. What were you expecting? It's a rainforest waterfall . Enjoy the sights.

Vibram Five Fingers or any trail shoes are a must. Very slippery footing and don't bother with sunblock or skin lotion here its mosquitoe bait as they never rest.

Waterfall isn't that impressive, but the hike is through some of the lushest forest you'll ever see

Make sure to wear good hikingh shoes . Flip flops not recomended. It gets pretty muddy as you go higher and deeper in. But the waterfall at the end is amazing.

You should go there, nice trail . And leave before get dark ;)
