McNamara Terminal

DTW McNamara Terminal is one of the largest terminals in the U.S. featuring a train which connects gate areas and a beautiful pedestrian tunnel filled with lighting set to music .

Sample some excellent middle eastern eats at Mediterranean Grill by A53. I recommend the Fattoush with grilled chicken .

Nice comfortable chairs with footstools by the window, between Starbucks and the fountain . Just as nice as Delta Lounge , not crowded with people!

If you have time to spare, good restaurant and Wi-Fi in the Westin lobby adjoins Delta / McNamara terminal

All delta (and alliance airline ) flights + on-site Westin hotel ... TSA Security is in the center and there is a quick tram ride to super low or super high # gates!!

Huge and indoor train to take you from one end to the other otherwise pretty far walk if ur catching connecting flights . Nice airport

It has a good layout, plenty of restrooms and decent food choices. If you have a choice of delta connections, take detroit over atlanta or Minneapolis.

coney island express is especially cheap , delicious, and fast

If you’re a frequent Delta flyer, I highly recommend a membership to the Sky Club. There are 4 in the McNama terminal.

Great, comfy chairs near gates B18-21

The convenience stores stock different items. Couldn't find headphones I liked in one, but two stores later had the ones I liked.

Nintendo has a free Wifi service for the 3DS here. Download the Nintendo Zone app and it will tell u, might differ on location

Just take a look at this space. Interesting architecture , isn't it? Pleasing and a bit different. Bit of an uplift feeling.

Early bird flight ? Delta check in opens at 3:30 AM. So wait a little bit, they are coming.

The Westin is a great place to stay. You can even get a pass to go back inside the terminal to get a bite to eat.

There's a TSA checkpoint on the lower level as well ....just in case you're ever running late. It's usually less crowded

Tired of fast food ? The only decent meals(and wines ) are happily served at Vino Volo near gate A46

If you have time, go through the tunnel that goes to concourses B and C!

Check out the fountain by Starbuck in concourse A. May be the coolest ever.

I have stayed 5 lines in order to get to my gates...2 hours prior to my flight ...barely made it.

Great place to leave

Delta sucks. This is the third time they arrive late to Detroit, make me run to the gate for the connecting flight just to see the plane sitting with the doors closed for another ten minutes.

Good luck if you're waiting for somebody. The police may or may not let you wait. It's anybody's guess. Wish they had a waiting area like Bishop Airport in Flint. :-/
