My favorite conservatory. My grandparents took my little sister and I here for the butterfly exhibit years and years ago. Went back recently and it's still magical.
Completed in 1933, & named after Irwin M. Krohn who served on the Board of Park Commissioners. It contains more than 3,500 plant species from all over the world, & is home to six seasonal floral shows
The Conservatory hosts several photographer nights during the Butterfly Show each year. Pick one of those evenings to avoid kids getting in your way. Don't be afraid to get close to the butterflies .
Did you know? Eden Park’s first greenhouses were built in the 1880s and opened to the public in 1902. In 1930, the old buildings were replaced with the aluminum and glass Art Deco building. Read more
The Trains , Trestles and Traditions celebration takes over Krohn around the holidays each year. It features a train display that loops through the building and a giant poinsettia tree . Read more
Beautiful plants & trees . Very small & a quick tour but worth a visit.
No matter how cold it is outside...leave your coat in the car, especially if you're a shutterbug. Sweating profusely or trying to balance a coat while taking pics can seriously hamper the experience.
