Fantastic service. Beautiful food. One of our favourites. In an area with lots of competition they are always a standout place to eat.

The eye fillet here is one of my favourites and there's a great wine list to go with it!

This place is a Melbourne institution. The food and the service is outstanding. Come for lunch and stay for dinner it’s that good.

Went back at a quieter time, lovely waiter Jax looked after us. Food was back to high standard, had superb quail wrapped in vine leaf. Sublime.

It was my fave for a weekly lunch , but, in tourist season it's just too clangy & noisy , food takes ages and the standards fall. Plus, I always seem to get the shitty table by the kitchen. :(

Get in early as they don't accept bookings but make sure you don't drink too much as you wait in the back bar or you won't appreciate the food!

Disappointed. Our waitress had attitude plus and was even quite rude to my guest from Sydney who had celiac disease.. My $41.50 steak came out blue- rare instead of medium. No consolation offered.
