Great wine list , and nice apps to go with it. The rib eye skewer , the foie gras , and the cheese and charcuterie boards were some of the highlights

Village Voice

The deep by-the-glass list skews Old World and classic, with selections from all over. The Coravin wine flight might be the best way to go, economically; you get three pours of thematic wines for $30. Read more

Aldo Sohm Wine Bar is a rare den of high-end yet affordable civility on the fringes of the Theater District. Coq au vin drumsticks and spicy lamb sausages in pita are both excellent. Read more

Excellent ambiance, delicious snack selections (*short ribs skewers ), and reasonably priced wine . Try the $20 flights. Perfect for dates and small gatherings

Matthew Spector

One of the best wine steals in town with a graduated tasting that changes monthly. Servers, staff , somms are spot-on. Hit the tuna salad and the whole braised head of cauliflower with chicken schmaltz

Matthew

A comfortable oasis to enjoy a glass of wine (Val de Mer, Crémant de Bourgogne) and hors d'oeuvre when I visited at 2pm. Kitchen closes at 3pm and reopens at 4:30pm. Much more lively at dinner .

Kay Teo

A wine bar with healthy food and fantastic wine , knowledgeable servers . Vegan plays on classic foods - vegan "spaghetti bolognese", eggplant version of steak au poivre , etc. Quality stemware

Eater

Go for the funky chicken salt-seasoned cauliflower ($15) and the heady merguez sausage in pita ($10). Open until 11:30 p.m. on weeknights. Read more

Awesome place to hang out with friends and enjoy some great wines ! Some wines on their list may be esoteric, but all are delicious, as are the snacks .

Fun wine bar , connected through the kitchen to Le Bernardin . Great wine list and decor! Order the chicken skin cauliflower !!!

Cassidy

Bonus points for being one of the few excellent bars in midtown , but the crowd more than reflects that anytime after 5. try to go early if you can.

AmateurConcierge

The short rib skewers are so tender, but the merguez is tops. Get a 6 cheese flight and a glass of red and enjoy the quintessential midtown ambience.

Robin Brunelle

Curl up in a corner seat of the ultra-comfy couch and enjoy delicious Austrian (and many other regions) wine from the absolute best wine glasses you've ever held.

It's alright here but feels a bit too much like a hotel to totally relax. Get the whole cauliflower as a snack - that's delicious!

The name of this bar is the name of the sommelier at next door's Le Bernardin restaurant .
