Teishoku (meal sets) are fresh and delicious. You get miso and salad along with your chosen dish. The higawari teishoku (daily special - mix of three dishes) is great too.
Authentic izakaya ; homely Japanese food . Cosy little place tucked from the main road but so good, it's so popular. Portions aren't big so order everything. Skip the desserts ; give that space to mains.

What an amazing find! Truly authentic Japanese-style Izakaya in the backstreets of Collingwood. Excellent food, drinks, service and atmosphere. Highly recommended.
Make sure to get smth from the side dish menu. The watermelon fresh is very refreshing! My favorite japanese restaurant in Melbourne.

I can summarize my visit in one word: Lousy. Seriously, how difficult is it to get a clean glass around here? Too many things on the menu look like crap, smell like crap, and taste like crap.
