Citrus Lemon sorbert with passion fruit tart with yuzu jam is a platate cleanser ! Beware, it can be sour for some.
Bread & olive ($3.50 per person). Unlimited bread . Rolls were warm & chewy , fresh out of the oven. We ordered them to wipe up the delicious sauces on our plates ????
Dover sole w cockles ($68). Unique flavour of cockles paired with fish . Expected to find the dish served greenish since menu said salsa verde
Gaig’s traditional cannelloni ($17.50 for 2 pcs). The truffle sauce balanced out the drier beef / pork/foie gras stuffing in the pasta . Enjoyable
Pear Taten with cinnamon ice cream . Nice flavours. If the pear would be been cooked a bit longer to make it softer, it would have been perfect!
Souffle egg with potato and chorizo bits is delicious! Only thing downside is the chorizo bits are too hard.
Still super new, so the team is figuring out how to work together. Food was pretty good, but with nice meals being a limited commodity, why would I waste time at a "pretty good" restaurant ?
When the evening is cooler, enjoy a martini at their table along the five-foot way, & people-watch
Ham croquette ($12 for 2 pcs). Savoury & fragrant, with a light crispy outer layer
Catalan rabbit stew ($68). Meat was well-cooked. Since it was called a stew , I was expecting more sauce ????
Octopus bites served with potato pillow . Chewy bites and flavourful pillow !
Recipient of the Michelin stars in 2018, 2019 & 2021
Amuse-bouche of savoury soup right after we placed our orders
Tried set menu , it was just ok. Cold leek soup and chicken cannelloni were good, lentil and bruschetta not really. Fish was a bit dry as a main. Best part was apple tatin desert . Service attentive.
Their cocktail menu lists common, easy-to-make-at-home drinks. Nothing impressive. Maybe stick to their wines ????
Baba on fire ($17). Theatre dessert . Nothing memorable other than the pouring of flammable liquor when served
Complimentary petit fours after our meal
I am here on Friday nite. Service is very slow. Don't come hungry!
Jamon croquette !
Tortilla (Spanish omelette) was exquisite. We enjoyed the classic one ($15) - Cheen The Curious
Excellent service and a decent range of tapas to choose from. Great for chilling out with a few friends and having their awesome sangria. The tapas were only so so though. - Chee Wai Wong
