Cheap and cheerful sort of place, a bit bright for my liking but usually quite lively and they let you bring food in. Beer selection fairly average but it's kept well .
Get the Allgates Mad Monk while it still lasts. Dangerous at 7.1% but a bargain at 2.95

Great food though not exactly cheap. Epic gin and whisky selections, beer isn't bad either. Cocktails are very good. Nice atmosphere, very cosy. Book ahead for food, it gets busy. - Sam M
