Parquet flooring and wooden panelling. Nice comfy pub serving great real ales .

Sam M

Great food though not exactly cheap . Epic gin and whisky selections , beer isn't bad either. Cocktails are very good. Nice atmosphere, very cosy. Book ahead for food, it gets busy.

Roast Beef . Nice veg perfect cauli and plenty of parsip. Gravy was nice. The big slab of beef was tender and tasty. The roast pots were a gray colour inside and tasted old. The york pud tasted of oil

Andy Davidson

Sunday roast is off the scale good and all locally sourced food . Huge gin and beer selection . Quiz on Sunday nights.

Andy Nolan

Friendly and attentive staff , but not overbearing. Great range of beers and spirits too. Food is good value bistro pub standard.

Gf. had saus/mash ,nice. I had ox cheek overly flavoured mustard mash which tasted unpleasant. They forgot the buttered leeks which the salty rich meal was crying out for. Then the pub quiz started...

Neil Beatson

Good food and good service . Try and get there early as they fill up fast!

Adam Nicholson

Newly refurbished. A complete transformation. If you like The Old House, The Forum or Common Room then this is their latest offering. Great food and drinks available

Ellen Holcombe

The Liquor Club gin tasting - brilliant night, well worth the £20!

Andrew Jones

Sausage and mash ; Grainy mash , average cumberland banger , nice taste but lower meat content than other posh nosh pubs . Onion gravy was poor. Dried onion bits just sprinkled onto nice normal gravy .

Anton Malinovskiy

Great Sunday roast

Alexandre Roussel

They do Sazerac 's. Need I say more?

Julian L-H

Good place for tea time and cool offers!

Jonathan Lawrie

Check the sell by date on the crisps, although they are nice!

Amir Farhangy

Food quality is very average, the burger was very dry, with burnt and livery texture, lasagne was very ordinary, pork belly ... Meh. Overall and comparing the menu prices I give it 4 out of 10

Adam Nicholson

Great pub but doesn't know if it's a pub or a restaurant which has caused us problems numerous times. Tend to make you leave your table if you aren't eating which is bad. Some staff are a bit rude too

Matteo Benedetti

Good British food and beers .

Brent Woods

Great selection of whisky .

Richard Copley

Please be advised that this is NO LONGER A GAY BAR - I was so disappointed. It's still OK though, as far as normal bars go.

Alec Mills

Great food, great atmosphere!
