This is great for a romantic date , it's all healthy wholesome food with vegan options . Went here for my bf's birthday was a lil disappointed they didn't offer a free birthday dessert or drink.
Great cocktails ! Get a dealers choice if you don't see something you like in the menu.
We got the table next to the window, away from other folks which made it more romantic . Music and people can make it hard to hear person you're sitting across from. Definitely try salmon corn cakes !
Happy Hour from 4 – 6 pm daily and Sunday through Thursday, 10 p.m. – Midnight. Features $3 well drinks and select top-shelf cocktails , as well as appetizers and snacks from $2 to $5. Read more
The staff is super helpful and funny. Get the "Going Up?" for a delicious semi-spicy drink (but you can't go wrong with any drink, really)...
Date spot with lotsa older folks making out. Delicious creme brûlée !
One of my fave spots... I love their Saphire Salad !!! Add either their steak or chicken tandoori and you've got a dinner salad . Salmon crab cakes are very savory!
Great happy hour , yummy cocktails and for sure get the bacon wrapped dates if you have the chance.
Outstanding cocktails , chilled environment, make sure you read the hotel history, it's priceless.
Buena Vista style Irish coffee is as close as I’ve had to the actual SF experience.
The risotto cakes with scallops are amazing!! I don't even like scallops :p
Contrary to the venue name, this isn't an actual hotel . Just the original hotel lobby was turned into a quaint dining, drinking and socializing space.
Amazing cocktails + tasty small bites.
Great place for a first date!
If you are a breakfast drinker... Go here for the Bottomless mimosas for $10 at brunch (plus the full bar )
Big fan of the “Going up!” Cocktail
Cocktails were good here... food was average, but the atmosphere is romantic , dimly lit candlelight .
great truffle martini . food is is only ok
Aside from the aforementioned bottomless mimosas , the Croque-Madame is greasy and porky and not to be missed.
Try the pear ice cream w/ bacon salt...ridiculous!
Comfy seating
Safe drinking, folks!
The risotto cakes !
Doesn't feel like Portland. Maybe meet someone not your own age. Send a stranger champagne .

Bacon wrapped dates . Get it.
This place rocks
Cool foo-foo drinks. Yum!
Watch the setting sun and toast to Summer's end while sipping on your Trophy Wife
Dr. Diego
Lemon chevre crepes . Ah-mayzing.
Go to the Sapphire Hotel on a double date. Seriously...
Chimay. On tap . Now.
Amazing food for the price. I eat/drink here sometimes multiple times per weekend, and I'm still not sick of it. Pickled cabbage in bloody marys is perfect for a hangover snack. - Bren Kutch
Happy Hour prices are PHENOMENAL and the food is tasty with great portions for the price. Love it! - Spencer Czapiewski
Excellent cocktails. Friendly staff, several quality tequilas and whiskey. Craft beer and outdoor seating. - Nicole Kasten
Make reservations online. Go with a 1/2 ny red and 1/2 diablo blanco pizza. Pizzas are one size and plenty big for 2 hungry people. - Bommy
I love the Black Opal here.. Oh and the tots are great too! - Erika Peraza
Friendly staff, great quesadilla, unoffensive white wine! - Robyn
