Amazing underground tiki bar in the Fairmount hotel . Get a punch bowl and begin your blackout. The crowd is a little fancy but everyone is here to have a good time. Live music here is great too!

The tacky island atmosphere and the 1950's vibe with fake rain and the band on a boat in the middle of the pool. The food is American Cuisine but overpriced a little. Overall this is a unique place.

Excellent variety of tropical drinks , fun tiki room style ambiance. The music is pure cheese but after a few drinks it’s tolerable. Solid service.

Skip the food - but hang and dance with a rum based tropical cocktail and listen to the awesome floating band.

Fantastic decor, great service; only went for Happy Hour , which was a great deal but the food wasn't the best. Worth the visit for the ambience and one drink.

Mai tai is definitely a must try!! The ambience is amazing. One of the best tiki bars in SF.

Cheesy to the nth degree, but still pretty awesome for what it is. The bar gets crowded - I regret not having dropped cover for a table.

Returned after 6 years and surprisingly still very good! It’s busy place and don’t accept reservations ... drink are good, kind of Asian food

Pineapple Royale is totally worth the $18!

Wow. This is the tackiest place ever. A band emerges from a raft in the middle of the room. There's a fake rainforest. And this weekend it's hosting puppetconf. Awesome.

It wasn't easy dragging friends who were locals here, but they wound up having a fantastic time indulging in the pure kitsch with me. Great fun for tourists .

Atmosphere is great! Drinks are awesome and the food is good. Desserts are the only disappointment we had.

Honestly, a bit of a weird vibe with the pool in the middle, but still fun and the drinks are good. Good date spot .

Get the Adult Swim cocktail , the soy lime edamame , and the ahi tuna poke tostada appetizers .

It rains here, inside, around a band paying an elevated platform in an old pool. Also, strong drinks . Make reservations !

Great MaiTai's you gotta check out pool here. There is a Rain Storm and Thunder Lightning and a floating stage made out of a boat.

This place is a must if you're on vacation in SF. Loved it.. drinks are strong!

My friend ordered the Zombie. He acted like one for the rest of the night! Fun place to go with 4-6 people.

Just outside the bar there are photos of the Tonga Room space before it was a tiki bar (and the lagoon was a plain old swimming pool ).

This inverted version of the Enchanted Tiki Room for adults puts the simulated rain in the center of the room rather than outside, and replaces the mechanical birds with a live band .

band seemed to target a demographic two or three decades older than anybody in the bar .

The live band + the strong cocktails are awesome. Beware, the service is really slow.

I think what we got was a Hurricane Bowl. It was a tub of rum + juice with several straws. It definitely did the trick ????

Great for strong beverages and good laughs. A must if you're visiting San Francisco.

It's basically the adult version of The Rainforest Cafe . Get a Mai Tai or Zombie before heading out. Also don't order a drink from the bar if you've been seated. They hate that.

The Lava Bowl is outstanding and the Tonga Platter is an excellent way to try a multitude of their excellent food.

Tasty mai tais , and the band that plays on the "lake " is wonderful and ridiculous.

Unique bar with live band and tiki decor. Tables and dance floor . Semi touristy .
