At Hoyt Arboretum every tree has a story to tell. Founded in 1928 to conserve endangered species and educate the community, Hoyt encompasses 187 ridge-top acres accessible by trails covering 12 miles.
Gorgeous, and remarkably peaceful for being so close to downtown. That said, it took my husband and I a while to acclimate to the signage in this park -- it isn't always immediately clear.
Make your way to the redwood deck to take in some amazing views of the giant sequoias.
The trail is really good. I'll try each season for different perspectives as suggested
