Gritty McDuffs Brewing Company

One of the oldest breweries in Maine. Always better on draught than in the bottle. Often there are cask choices, too. Worth a stop especially for the history.

I like this place. It has that true Portland feel. The food is descent and the atmosphere is great but the beer is always flat. The bartender even said that's the way it always is.

Good local beer . We always stop here when we're in Portland. They have a mug club if you're a local and I am partial to the copper bar top as far as aesthetics go.

The legend. First came in here 34 years ago. Some girl came in, knew nothing, ordered... Bud Light . Yes, I laughed at you. Ryan great, Molly is ace, meatloaf terrific. Leave babies at home.

Build your own Burger .? Why, yes please! Cajun,Bacon,Black Fly Stout BBQ Sauce ,fried jalapeños , with some pepper jack ! And you have Portlands Best Burger !

The burger was great; I usually get the fish and chips which is excellent. Service is usually great-this time, not so much. Would still recommend!

Great old fashion ‘the ol’88’ and seafood chowder and I’m an original Mainer now Texan.

Pretty good bar food for the price. There's a back patio with a few tables that's dog friendly . So that's always a plus.

Highly suggest the Mac and cheese with grilled chicken get a side of buffalo sauce mix it in and thank me later

Bacon and broccoli chips . I know it sounds crazy, but this just might be the best dish in Portland.

Bison burger and sweet potato puffs were awesome. Wish the IPA was a bit colder.

The chipotle cinnamon wings were awesome.

Jerks of Grass were great. The girl singer has a great voice and there's some very good fiddling. But tell the management to put a spotlight on you guys!

Decent beer , good wings . Mac and cheese tastes very much homemade (not very cheesy).. yet they have fried jalapenos on top which made it OK.

Nothing. Avoid the one in Freeport as well . At least in Freeport we had better service. The beer was awful in both places. Before I knew what good beer was it would have still sucked.
