What a fun time here, free tastings, fun beer . Brewery tours !! They make root beer too. Gift shop is amazing. They don't take themselves seriously and that's the best part. In Maine must do!!

Super dog friendly ! Everyone who works here was so sweet to my dog that he didn't want to leave! In addition to sampling Shipyard we also tried Sea Dog and Eli's sodas .

Came here for a tasting. Kind of strange - do some samples as they tell you about all of the beers , and then let you go back to try them all. Favorites were Pumpkinhead , APA, Export Ale .

If you're short on time, do the Allagash tour . Much better. Whomever the gentleman was that had been working the afternoon of Nov 16, did not do a very good job of the tour and was a bit rude.

They don't offer tours on the weekends, but the samples are great! The servers are very informative and there is a large gift shop .

Lots of cool merch to buy, these guys have some of the best labels in beer so get some gear! Beer gear!

Both blueberry beers are incredible and the staff is super friendly . We even got a free beer !

Make sure you check out the free brewery tours ! It's a fun place with a great view of the harbor . (not to mention the gift shop has some cool stuff too!)

Everyone knows Shipyard. They do tours (not very thrilling, though) and you can sample both the beer and the Cap'n Eli Sodas .

best Maine Souvenir shop I went to all week. Good balanced beers ... The Average American palate doesn't like balanced beers . So you've have been warned!

Great tour . We did the first Thursday tour they have done and it was great!

It's a video tour (which happens to be more about the business than the beer ) rather than a tour of the brewery - if you want to see a brewery , Allagash is close by and offers a real brewery tour .

The tour is short , you only see the bottling room for the most part, but you get to sample like 8 different beers at the end!

The beer scented candles are great. Once the candle burns out you still have a pint glass .

Tour guide is super energetic! Beer tasting is free, but beer isn't very good.

Didn't feel authentic . This large brewery is overly commercialized and hawk merchandise during the "virtual tour " (you only get to briefly see the bottling room ). At least you get beer at the end.

Grab a six pack of Shipyard Pumpkinhead to save for those lonely, non-autumn months.

Definitely abrasive tour guide ..... From yelling to the guests like kindergartners to checking the ids of senior citizens!

Skip the tacky shops in the Old Port and come here for a better souvenir of Maine like some Pumpkinhead .
