Voted Best Neighborhood Cafe (St. Paul) by City Pages in 2012! The vibe here is quieter , homier, & generally a bit nicer compared to the ironically named joint in mpls; A great place to stay & chat."
One of our diners called the egg and cheese on a biscuit "the most satisfying meal you can get for five bucks.” The scrambled eggs , thick cheddar cheese , and a homemade biscuit — are all first class . Read more
Great biscuits . Very original pancakes . The pancakes are yeast raised and taste like eating a beer . I like it. Toasted bread is excellent too. There was a fairly long line but still quick to seat.
The Colossal Cinnamon Rolls are delicious and great to share with a few people. The yeast pancakes though were not to my liking and a huge departure from conventional pancakes , so be cautious.

Egg , cheddar , bacon breakfast sandwich for $5.50. This cute little cafe is a great little breakfast/brunch stop in our neighborhood .
The yeast pancakes are more sourdough bread-tasting that are excellent with their jams ; no buttermilk classic pancake taste here! Their omlettes are AMAZING!
Their pancakes are yeast-raised and called "flappers," so expect tons of girls in St. Paul to start dressing up as sexy pancakes next Halloween . Then you can thank Colossal. Read more
All of the food here is absolutely fantastic! Compare it to other higher end dining establishments in town . Colossal doesn't serve food, they serve cuisine!

The BLT! Baked bread and fresh ingredients makes this sandwich an addiction.
The Apple, Walnut , & Brie flappers are amazing and huge. You can easily split the small order and be fine. Great service, too!
Brown butter blueberry maple muffin is the most fun muffin name to say. Incidentally it is also delicious.
Warm, small space with interesting food choices, great staff and a neighborhood feel .
Great pay-at-the-counter breakfast and lunch spot . Do not pass up the jam ! It is incredible.
Amazing food, crazy busy, kind of pricy . Everything made from scratch cannot be beat. We'll be back.
Everyone's yapping about their brunch , but the dinner is good too, especially the seasonal risotto .
Outstanding food and Summit Saga on tap . Was there for dinner but brunch looked amazing.
Eggs , hashbrowns and toasts! With coffee of course! ????????☺️
Neighborhood brunch spot . Get the apple walnut and brie flappers !
Biscuits and gravy are so good! Busy on the weekends.
Cold brew on tap and a cinnamon bun as big as my head.
Pork belly breakfast tacos were great!
The bacon cream cheese omelet is to die for!
Best BLT I've had in a long time.
Best pancakes I've ever had holy smokes
Tough go today. The gal at the register was quite unpleasant, the food was dry and "over heat-lamped". We have dined here often, but the past couple of times have been lackluster. Say it isn't so!
Incredible breakfast sandwiches .
Everything
Hard to find. Good food.
They do egg-white omelets too. Taste great.
Plan on waiting and not comfortably.
Loved the sea bass !
Great barbecued pork ribs
Mexi-coke! Also, incredible food!
Frittata yum
Great food!
New favorite place.

Darcy is awesome. Best after-bar breakfast in town. Try the Tex-Mex. Delicious. Large Portion. Affordable. Check their hours though. Only open late on weekends. - Scott Muggli
Mixed the classic eggs Benedict with the benedict florentine, it was great - Daniel Hoeffel
Everything is amazing and the champagne board is a sunny day must. - Ben B
Great place to visit. Beautiful park, not too big, doesn't require all day to see the animals and enjoy a zoo visit. Conservatory building is gorgeous! - Elizabeth Akre
This is my favorite little market to shop at. The meat section is amazing. Delicious cuts at great prices. This is where I buy all of my meat now. - Austin Eder
