beautiful park with scenic views . I've been looking for a good, T-accessible natural space for a long walk since moving to Boston; I'm so glad I finally found one.
Amazing spot for strolling around and great programs for arboretum members.
The park is great and not just because of the alliteration of the name. There are a few well maintained areas that are quite pleasing to the eyeballs.
The crown jewel of Olmsted's Emerald Necklace, the Arboretum only allows picnicking on one day a year - Lilac Sunday . Hike up Peter's Hill and take in a gorgeous view of the Boston skyline.
Peaceful , relaxing, friendly . Still in the city , but you feel like you’re out in the country .
The Arboretum's 35-piece Japanese Bonsai collection has plants up to 300 years old that were brought to Boston in 1913. Check out the trees resulting from this ancient Japanese tradition at no cost! Read more

great place to hunt down and cook a yuppy puppy. I mean -- if you really had to. Just don't do this during a yoga class . Namaste indeed!
Super easy to get to off Orange Line (Forest Hills ). Unbelievable colors in late October, and no matter how many people are there, it always feels like you have the place to yourself.
A little piece of heaven in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city .
Very special, mystical place. You can get lost in these trees - great day trip!
Great place to sketch, relax and do whatever you want. Very scenic
A must-see jewel in Boston’s Jamaica Plain neighborhood .

Avoid the crowds on Lilac Sunday -- come by on Friday or Saturday to enjoy the blooms ahead of Mothers Day!
Found this lovely new bench at Peters Hill .
The Arboretum was founded in 1872 when the President and Fellows of Harvard College became trustees of a portion of the estate of James Arnold (1781–1868).
