Food very good and staff / service outstanding. Rooms rather spartan but overall great stay.
Amazing atmosphere, Great service, Delicious meals combine that with the history, its a home run!!! The filet sandwich was fork tender, crab and lobster dip is delish!
French Onion soup , any Entree salad . The fried Cod was very good as well . Authentic period decor...also check out the gift shop .
What a perfect little gem steeped in history! Amazing food: bison burger , peach chicken , prime rib , salmon and halibut all so delicious- service was wonderful! Can’t wait to go back!
Located in Bedford, this tavern is known for the many hangings of men convicted of capital crimes. Take a tour to see why Smarter Travel named this one of America's most haunted restaurants and bars .
Pasta entree was a little pricy for the product, but the buffalo burger was good. Potato crisps are actually skins but that is not a bad thing, really good. Several TVs in the bar area.
The atmosphere downstairs in the tavern is so nice. The Maryland seafood soup was delicious and so was the Greek Salad with beef tips
Friendly staff . Very historic. Delicious food in the middle of nowhere pa :). Pleasantly surprised
Awesome menu! Best dinner I've ever had!! Salmon with crab and cheese .. Amazing!
To Notch. Not cheap , but great food.
They have the best French dip I've ever had. Perfect sliced prime rib , not fatty. OMG I can't recommend enough.
The monthly specials provide you a nice variety of entrees that are not common. Of the Railbender ale makes anything better.
Loved the Roasted Vegetable Lazagna and Oatmeal Pie . When I'm in the area again, I'll go back.
Great place to stop along the turnpike for lunch or dinner . 16 craft brew handles too.
Homemade desserts ! Outside seating and a great waitstaff .
Try the French Dip . Also great selection of Western Pennsylvania Beers .
Portobello sandwich (without the cheese ) is very good. Pairs well with the Weyerbacher Merry Monk Belgian style ale .
Great service, friendly staff , cool history. Try the Erie Railbender ale .
Weary travelers have been stopping at this location for over 200 years. Stop at our exhibit and listen to find out what two roads , not routes, it is located between.
The house salad dressing is fantastic! It is a house-made French dressing with poppy seeds , carrots , and beets .
The Spinach and Artichoke dip is highly recommended.
Delicious food and a great ambiance.
The best beer list in 50 miles. They had Dogfish Burton Baton on tap when I was here.
Great variety of beer and great food.
Crab and corn chowder is awesome!
Great service, excellent food.
Great food & a fun atmosphere , loved it!!!
Great wings and only $0.50 a wing on Wednesday
Corn & crab chowder , plus a crab cake sandwich for lunch = perfection!
All the good is sooooo good!!
Sweet potato fries and cod fish are good choices
Must try the warm oatmeal pie with vanilla ice cream !
Our food was mediocre and the service lousy... But the historical venue is absolutely amazing...
