It's buzzing with a lot of people of all age groups. It has a nice play area for kids, a nice lake with rental pedal boats and cycle rentals. I would say it is a perfect Saturday afternoon getaway!
Great neighborhood , rain, snow or shine this park is always busy. Denver's Central Park . A must visit any time of year! But get there early for a spot in the sun or else! Lol
I love just walking the perimeter of Wash Park and looking at all the gorgeous houses! But if you're looking for something a little more active, there are plenty of Volleyball games on the weekends!
If you are young, healthy and fun and you live in the city of Denver, you are probably here at least occasionally. Free tennis courts , basketball courts , flower gardens , two lakes , etc.
The park is also known for its largest Victorian Style perennial flower garden . The garden includes an elliptical lawn and 54 flower beds in an informal arrangement.

In the worst of winter days this park is still hauntingly beautiful. Amazing during summer and fall but it will be packed! Love this park .

I absolutely love Wash Park . It's so calming to stroll through in the evening. I miss it after moving up North.
Nearby, there’s always volleyball going on, so quickly watch YouTube clips of Top Gun’s volleyball scenes to get psyched, and then slam the ball in people’s grills.
It's always fun to visit during the day, but one of the best ways to experience the park in summer is to have an evening picnic . The crowds leave as you arrive and pretty soon you have it to yourself.
The park was first developed by Architect Reinhard Scheutze in 1899. The 165 acres of park , is a beautiful blend of historic and contemporary styles of architecture .

During the summer, Wash Park is the place to be. Volleyball is always happening all over the fields as well as other activities. Perfect Sunday Funday location!
A great hang out spot during the summers! You can find people here playing volleyball , kickball, or just hanging out and barbecuing .
The park includes several trails , including one that goes around the perimeter of the park , tennis courts , a lawn bowling/croquet field , and two playgrounds .

We were in Denver on business and just looking for a quiet place to enjoy the nice weather. Washington Park filled that bill.
Come for a flash mob, stay for volleyball and a BBQ . This is a Denver gem with lots of people and lots of fun.
Dont come here and expect peoe not to be snobby and crojd your space. Dont sit in the feild, there will be someone who sets up a game of volly ball or football . We got pushed out our spot
Enjoy boating and fishing at Smith Lake from dawn to dusk! Canoes , kayaks , rowboats and small sailboats allowed up to 20 feet.
Not quite Central Park New York or Golden Gate Park in San Fran, but next to these, it's likely one of the best city parks in the country .

Parking is generally available on the north-west side of the park . I've had good luck there this summer. Now, don't everyone go park there and spoil it :)
