My favorite is the scorching hot version of chilaquiles verdes con pollo . This traditional Mexican dish uses lightly fried corn tortillas as the base of the dish with spicy green salsa poured on top. Read more
Only one waitress but be patient and you will handsomely rewarded with deliciousness. Definitely try the different taquitos (especially al pastor ), tostada (Tinga ) for some crunch, and Pozole .
Try the marinated pork or the super flavorful spicy pork , or if you're really adventurous and/or hungry get the whole gamut of beef/chicken/pork in taquito form. Few-to-no veggie options , cash only . Read more
The el pastor is my favorite. Their green sauce is the best I've ever had. I always ask for extra so I can drench my food in it.
Stop by this unassuming storefront in Sunset Park , order the steak tacos and have your mind blown. Read more
Delicious cabeza and carnitas tacos . Stick to the mini tacos if you want to avoid a food coma (or are on a food tour of sunset park )
Try the Taco Arabes here, this Lebanese-Mexican roll-up combines spiced spit-roasted pork with sweet strings of caramelized onion . It's one of NYC's 26 best tacos ! Read more
The cabeza (beef cheek ) taco is particularly fine, and the picadillo de res is good if you want something that tastes Tex-Mex.
The "tinga " is shredded chicken in an onion and tomato sauce ... They make it the best. The bbq goat if feeling adventurous is yum. Fried fish is not great(mojarra) and the cactus beef isn't either.
The mole poblano is the best I've had in NYC, the langanista chalupa is legit. Torta cubano also solid.
Great tacos !!here's the deal: if you order steak tacos sometimes they don't filet the fat off and you will bite into a huge greaseball. However, the "tinga " is always on point... You have to have it.
The atmosphere is great! Try anything with carnitas - the tacos al pastor aren't really anything to write home about.
Get the Lengua & Arabe Tacos
nachos al pastor (which r mexican style ), all the tacos , and cesina (salted steak ) is where its at
We had tinga and cabeza really liked the tinga .
Tacos Arabes & a Tinga . Wash it down with coke and don't be stingy with the avocado sauce .
Tinga , Cecina, al Pastor . Its good in this hood. Don't ever sleep on the tortas . Best in NYC. Tip the nice ladies too.
the taco arabe & avocado sauce worth the journey to sunset park ... whoa.
chicken torta $4.50, try the mamey shake $3
nice vegetarian tacos
Amazing authentic food and great service!
The tortas are good, but the service is unbelievably slow. Be prepared to wait an hour when it's not crowded .
The Torta Cubana here is voted one of NYC's 101 Best Sandwiches by @NYMag!
Carnitas taquitos are so juicy.
There chicken tacos are to die for!
Tortas . Need I say more?
