Best fish and chips I've tasted in England , outside of Cornwall. Very popular with locals. Has both take away and eat in facility.
Not a fan of the chips (soggy type), but the cod is to die for! Note that the loyalty card expires in August!
Great fish & chips however noted that the tartar sauce is put back in the pot or reused. Hygiene rating of 5 I feel needs to be reviewed. No real concern when waitress was spoken to.
Get beer rather than wine , since their wine selection isn't that great and to be fair beer works way better with fish and chips .
Definitely some of the best Fish & Chips in SE England (as their awards confirm).
Batter is light and crispy . Must try.
They use ground nut oil, so beware if you have an allergy.
