HISTORY

This park was founded in 1872 and was the first municipal park in the state of California.From 1921 to the early 1960s the Boy Scouts of America had exclusive access to the beauty & mineral springs.

A hidden jewel in the east foothills. Hiking trails along the creek and into the hills . Great for picnics and nature hikes . Visit the wildlife center or watch the deer visit near sundown.

Just waisted 8 hours of my Easter Sunday at this place waiting for family just to find out that they came but the park wouldnt let them in. we were there at 630 am to save a spot! Never again.
