The XXX hot wings are so hot that they make you sign a waiver. I broke into a sweat and the stuff is a painful experience. You can't taste anything but pain. Do it. You will remember the moment!

Had three types of wings , all awesome! They'll do half and half baskets of 8 wings . Many cider choices if anyone happens to be gluten free . Service was awesome and the waiter gave great suggestions.

The September special of maple bacon wings is surprisingly delicious! Not too sweet at all! And the blue cheese dressing for the side also somehow works. Food is amazing.

I know, I can't stop talking about the XXX wings . I can't even stop thinking about them, because they're so addicting! Whenever I want wings , I want XXX! Wings everywhere else pale in comparison.

Get the Sloppy Pig ! It's pulled pork , brisket & smoked chicken in Jake's famous BBQ sauce , topped with cheddar cheese & crispy onions . For beer , I had the Ridgeway IPA . They rotate taps though.

Impressively solid bar food, albeit with River North prices. The great craft beer list makes up for it.

Best selection of beers on tap and in bottle. Awesome garlic fries and homemade bbq chips . Servers are really good and know their beer . ;-)

Yep!! Best wings ever! They're cooked a little crispy , how I usually have to ask for and the Firecracker flavor comes from my favorite.. Siracha !!!

Nice relaxed atmosphere . Good selection of more than 20 beers on tap . Food is ok, but the outdoor patio is what makes Jake's special.

Far and away the best buffalo wings I've had in Chicago. That said, I didn't find the "spicy " very spicy . I'll have to go hotter next time.

I'm sure for anyone who hasn't grown up in Western NY, these wings are great. But if you've had the real deal, you'll find these near inedible. Soggy breading , under-fried and slimy. Gross.

Only visited here once, but had the portabello mushroom reuben . I would do it again. And drink some beer while you're at it, but be safe. Somebody loves you.

Excellent selection of hard to find & exclusive beers . The BBQ nachos & wings are some of the best that this bar-fly has had.

Fantastic selection of taps and bottles. On a recent trip to Chicago I was so happy I found this place that I went two nights in a row and tasted lots of great local brew .

The Engine 98 chili is delicious and for a good cause. Me being a fireman on engine 98 has no influence on this tip.

Call ahead for a table during busy times. Especially if you have more than a couple of people. It tends to get packed!
