Wantan mee . Cooked noodles r 'q' (springy) fr Jin Song #1-30. Also enjoyed their golf ball-sized wantans which tasted more like siew mai . They splashed a little of the chicken feet stew in for flavour
Vegetarian options : pastries , yong tau foo , yutiao, fruits , chwee kueh, chee cheong fun , yam cake , lontong, vegetarian stalls , beancurd , fried carrot cake , sesame ball , kueh, pancake , green bean soup
Mi chiam kueh (Chinese pancake ). The ones from Heng Li #01-36 are yummy. Batter is light, both in density & flavour, so sweet fillings feature well . I'm not a fan of their styrofoam serving plate tho
Chilli pan mee ($4.50) from #01-35. Spicy chilli paste . Quality ‘ikan bilis ’ (anchovies ), yummy to bite into. Handmade meatball & ‘la pok’ (fried pork lard cubes) were aromatic

Anthony the Spice Maker....great shopping to get spices to prepare your favourite local dishes
Mee Siam . Thick gravy from House of Li Xiang #01-17. If u enjoy this dish sour, ask for extra lime ; 1 is not enough 😬
Vegetarian bee hoon . Average fare from Vegetarian Delight #01-14. Mostly processed gluten products, instead of freshly-cooked vegetables & leafy offerings
The yu tiao & butterfly that fellow 4SQ ref to is Xi De Li, a pushcart-to-20-chain success story. It's @ #01-28. Closes on Fridays (the day I visited)
Yong tau foo . Ah Xiang YTF #01-03 serves quite a variety of items. Affordable too @ 40 cents per piece. Chilli sauce could do with more character or punch though
Laksa . Quan Xing Mei Shi #01-26 prepares a decent dish. Add all the sliced curry leaves you want

Decent laksa. Self-service to all the laksa leaves u want 😂 - Cheen The Curious
Much better eating the WTM freshly cooked, instead of takeaway. Noodles were ‘q’ (chewy). Wantans were substantial (rather than disintegrated) 👍🏼 - Cheen The Curious
