Nasi Lemak @ 67 (#01-67) claims to serve the best nasi lemak in town , because of their fresh coconut milk & bismati rice . Better to consume for breakfast as items loose their freshness by lunch
Chai tow kway (fried carrot cake ). Surprisingly yummy serving from Black/White Carrot Cake #01-64 . Chunky bits style with lots of flavour and wok hei in my plate. Run by 2 hardworking guys
Rice porridge . While my bowl from Xiang Ji 01-81 did not have enough water, they made up for it by being generous with ingredients. And if u don't mind, a sprinkle of fried ikan bilis
Vegetarian options : specialty vegetarian stall, beancurd , red/green bean soup , local desserts & pancake , yong tau foo , chwee kueh, prata , yam cake , goreng pisang , fried carrot cake , bread & buns
Breakfast fried bee hoon . Nonya Curry Mixed Veg Rice 01-58 see long queues for bfast , especially weekends. Decent options for fried noodles , primarily fried items. Curry vege if u want some fibre ????
Fried local snacks from My Yammy Bites #01-94. Fried dough fritters , goreng pisang , fried sweet potato & tapioca , & more. The butterfly I ordered was not as light as I'd like it to be
Wantan Mee . Er... Hock Tai #01-90? If u hv a choice & not in a hurry, stick w Seng Huat #01-61
This hawker Center might be out of place but never out of nice and tasty food stalls . Look for the queues and tables and you will find what are the best to offer!
Coffee bread . Yi Dai Mian Bao 01-48 bakes a wide range of offerings. Sampled their coffee bread , which had aroma but turned out dry & left a lingering aftertaste
Fishball noodles . Enjoyed a filling bowl of fishball noodles from Song Heng 01-75. Generous tasty ingredients
Chwee kueh (steamed rice cakes ). Expect consistent bite from this branch (#01-96) of popular Bedok Chwee Kueh. Each piece is twice the size of a traditional version. Punchy chilli sauce
Frozen goods. There r 2 stalls side-by-side selling frozen items (meat & vegetables ). Make ur way to #01-104
Kopi. Another contender to the coffee scene at this market : Teck Huat #01-92. Part of an islandwide chain of kopi stalls. Predictably strong & aromatic local brew
Kopi (local coffee ). Strong & bitter brew from Boon Hwa Coffee Stall #01-95. Enjoyed it
Chicken rice . Generous cuts from Sing Soon Lee #01-93. Meat was well-cooked & tasty. Chilli sauce has added a nice zing
Vegetarian bee hoon . Standard fare served during breakfast at Foy Yin #01-70. The only vege dish option was boiled cabbage ; everything else was usual gluten-based mock meat
Duck noodles . While duck meat & chilli sauce from Lucky Duck #01-50 were decent, I disappointed with their soup , which was some sour-tasting soy sauce water
The corner porridge stall is worth trying. The dough fritter is crispy and deep fried intestine is nice. A good selection and taste is delectable. But price is a little high for the pauper portion.
Soya milk drink. Between (A) Lucky #01-89 & (B) Water Lilies #01-79, B is thicker, more fragrant & definitely flavourful
U mian ($4, +50¢ if dry, +50¢ for egg ). Substantial noodles from Da Jia Lai #01–85. Lots of minced pork & some sliced ones. Empty calories with the fried wantan skins. Chilli packs a zing
Breezy public space thanks to the addition of "Big Ass" fans. Enjoyed my meals in this air-cooled food centre
Other than the Joo Heng bak chor mee , the Yit Thong bak chor mee @ #01-83 is not bad too. Don't be deceived by the lack of queue because unlike Joo Heng, they serve. So you won't see anyone queueing.
SEDAP Nonya food.:-) always with long queue in the morning. Love the homemake fishcakes . Enjoy;-)
Wantan mee . What gives Seng Huat #01-61 a unique flavour is their mushroom-based sauce & sprinkling of sesame seed oil.
Char kway teow (fried flat rice noodles ). Decent plate from Heng Kee #01-63. Not as moist as I'd prefer. No 'wok hei' (smokiness) though. Cockles were fresh. Pork lard lacking
Postal box. There's one nearby, along the main road AMK St 61. Directly opposite the 2 temples
Bak Chor Mee (minced pork noodles ) fr Yit Thong may not hv a queue but their bowl of noodles is quite ordinary. Order if hungry
大家來 Chicken rice was not bad but doesn't justify the long queue (if any). But we loved the Chwee Kway !
This breakfast bee hoon combo from Nasi Lemak & Economy Bee Hoon #01-77 was $4.90! Not cheap for 3 items. Fried chicken was overly salty, so was stir-fried French beans
一袋面包 Yi Dai Bread is awesome! Baked freshly everyday, must try coffee bun !
Good chicken rice !! Business is brisk!! Seems that the other chicken rice stalls at this Food Centre is worth their salt too!!
Porridge . Roast duck rice . Chix rice . Yong tau foo . Veg bee hoon . Mushroom pork noodles
Stall #01-54. Most natural chendol. Green stuff, azuki beans, gula melaka and coconut milk . No crappy grass jelly or other crap jelly to spoil it.
Ho Bee Roasted Food: Delicious and yummy roast pork
KL Hokkien Noodles ($6). Plate by Hup Lee #01-48 tasted more like Singapore CKT, with thick noodles instead; preparation was sweet! There were pork chop bits, which didn’t match. No pork lard cubes
You can find a lot of variety of food here and best of all the price is so cheap !
Joo Heng Minced Pork Noodles is worth the wait in the long queue! Their noodles are well cooked. Simply delicious!
Joo heng minced pork , 4_5 dollars. Forget it. I can feed 2 person with 大家来chicken rice at 2_2.50 each. It taste better and queue as long as joo heng.
The nasi lemak taste great! But if is the ladyboss serving u, be sure u ask for everthing u want like cucumber , peanuts or sambal ... If u didnt say, they will just ignore it... ==
Yit thong noodles - lor mee is best ! Located just beside the 2 super long queue roast meat stall
Very nice and popular duck rice here, the store is very near to the bus stop , you won't miss it as there will always be a long queue.
Long queue always present for 01-84 roast meats .
Really like the porridge here at 香记粥品 :)
#01-79 sells the best glass jelly and soya bean drink in this area. Bar none!
Joo Heng Mushroom Minced Pork Mee stall is the best minced pork mee i've tasted. It always has a long queue. Do try it only if you've time.
Chee cheong fun is truly special
Good must try
Nasi Lemak $2.20 chinese stall has been skimping on ingredients. Not only that when they run out they dont subsitute and they still charge the same. Not honest compared to the malay stall opposite.
Mayo Chicken Rice is cheap and nice.
Hamidda's #01-97 Nasi sambal goreng is the bomb but dun try the lontong.
Must try roast duck Mixed with roast pork. Only 3.50! The sambal chilli is also very good - Lisbeth Ariel
We ate at this stall many years ! still long wait even at 11.30am on a weekday! Amazing! - Jansen Ek
Try the $6.90 lala soup, it's so sweet and good! Fresh clams that are big and juicy too. - Saudade
Vegetarian options: pastries, yong tau foo, yutiao, fruits, chwee kueh, chee cheong fun, yam cake, lontong, vegetarian stalls, beancurd, fried carrot cake, sesame ball, kueh, pancake, green bean soup - Cheen The Curious
The Parklane noodles here are very good. Freeflow garlic and lard cubes too. - Joel Pan
Must try the dessert beside the slice fish soup store. Decent priced yet yummy. - Kay
Yoghurt Place on e 2nd floor has awesome flavoured yoghurt! Best flavour: blueberry yoghurt. Daebak! - Zakiah Hafiz
Chicken chop from the Western food stall is value for money. Chicken is crisp and juicy and the sauce compliments the chicken. - Ice Lee
