Staten Island September 11 Memorial is a memorial site Staten Island St. George located in United States.
Bank St Staten Island , NY 10301 United States
Architect Masayuki Sono created the slim, smooth structures , which resemble a pair of wings, to appear like oversize postcards, honoring the Staten Island victims of the 2001 terrorist attacks.
Offers a once-in-a-lifetime view of the lower Manhattan skyline, the memorial shows where the Twin Towers once stood and is right next to the home of the Staten Island Yankees and the Ferry Terminal.
Designed by Masayuki Sono , the memorial features two large, thin white structures resembling wings or blooming flowers . 270 granite plaques each bear the name of a Staten Islander killed on 9/11.
A little known memorial. Easy to get to from the Staten Island Ferry
Very peaceful place and great for photoshoots
