Surprisingly fun. I learnt a lot about rocks and fossils that weren't found in Staten Island. Also cicadas . Lots of cicadas .
A "mini-Smithsonian" with art , science, and local history. Just two blocks from the Staten Island Ferry , it hosts an exhibit on the famous boat's first 100 years of service.
Special features here include the Hall of Natural Science's Cabinet of Curiosities, home to bizarre wonders of nature (such as a four-legged chicken preserved in a jar and glow-in-the-dark rocks). Read more
