KL's very own Chinatown is a hive of sound and activities. Located at the heart of KL's bustling Chinatown, Petaling Street is the place to head for those who are interested in experiencing the excitement of bargaining for their purchases.
Jalan Petaling 50000 Kuala Lumpur , Kuala Lumpur Malaysia
The market is crowded , chaotic, and frequently overpriced. Some interesting gift shops amid the knock-off stalls and tattoo parlors . Bargain hard. Yummy, affordable food hawkers in the area. Explore!

The market stalls will sell cheap goods at ridiculous prices so drive a hard bargain or walk. Best deals are on the street food offerings nearby. Keep your belongings under a close eye!
It almost 10 years i never stepped here in petaling street and this air mata kuching stall is still here and the taste is still the same! Love it!
Come with a lot of energy to walk around, shop and most of all haggle. NO PRICE IS FIXED! You must bargain or they will take advantage of you...
Start with 1/3rd of the quoted price. Be adamant and prep to walk off if price not met. There are many other shops selling the same stuff. Be careful of your valuables. Closes at 2200h. Have fun.
U can find delicious Chinese street food here with reasonable price. But be careful with overcharge, must ask price before placing order.
There is a korean store in Main Street that named ' Domesky ' and they have good quality stuff like accessories ,charger cables, stationary, makeup tools and etc with responsible prices. ????????????????
Rediscovering Chinatown: October 2021????. Leaving our footprints along Jln Sultan, Jln Panggung Jln Petaling, etc. Most cafes close at 6 pm

Lots of small shops for baigaining, dont buy from the first stall , always walk around as prices will vary by stand, plus most of them sell the sme thing, worth checking out at least once
1st ask for the price, then offer 20%. Go up slightly till 30%. Then start walking away. Only then they will give you best and final price....avg women bag 65, travel bag 150 (large size).
The original Chinatown centered on Market Square. Jalan Tun H.S. Lee or High Street, became increasingly popular as it was higher than the rest of the town and therefore less prone to floods.
Fresh fruit cut and ready to eat in little baggies and the widest assortment of anything you would want in a market . What's there not to love!
You would most often find the same items cheaper in other parts of KL. Check out Berjaya times Square or masjid James instead. Haggle seriously and without hesitation!
If you like to shoot such places you'll love it as I did. I took beautiful shots.
Best tactic to do is to haggle 50% of the actual price. If they dont wanna give it to u.. Pretend you'll leave, and the vendors will go after you and give you the price you want! :)
From Bukit Bintang area: Hop onto the MRT & alight at Pasar Seni, exit entrance A
Perfect place to find fake items. Muahaha. A bit crowded on weekend. Gotta try the ikan bakar Chinese style here. Awesome one! Mouth watering!
Be on a lookout for pickpocketers. There's always fresh fruits vendors and Chinese street food stalls . They're tasty as fk. Don't buy anything apart from that, counterfeit quality is terrible.
Getting watches for overseas friends - IWC great fakes at a portion of the price @$350. Guaranteed of good quality.
Portuguese grill stall is a must try here for those who loves spicy meal. Try their stingray and squid .

It's always a busy place but a great place to find bargains with #Chinese quality. I'd recommend lower the asking price by 80%
