Park benches on the South side offer the best shade in the park from the Charlotte skyline . It's going to take a few years for the shade trees to grow in.(Nice views of www.packardplace.us as well :-)

Great new addition to the parks in Mecklenburg county . Beautiful design and great central uptown location. don't miss the fun water play area - waterfall , misters, musical pipes and jumping bells. A++

There is an amazing sculpture in the garden by artist Richard Hunt called the Spiral Odyssey. The water fountain and open seating areas are a fresh call not to be missed!!

The best view of the Charlotte skyline . Cute park with a little cafe with gelato in the middle. A big waterfall also. Great place to hang and take pics.

The water sprays are great to cool down on a hot day and a great view of the city plenty of pictures are taken here at day and night

Amazing. Fountains . Flowers . Greenery . Baby trees . What a way to honor an African American artist . Beautiful. Overlooks our city skyline. It's a gem.

A thoughtfully designed park with different zones inspired by the life and inspirations of African American artist Romare Bearden. Check out the pillars at the entrance to learn about his life/art

The nighttime view of the sky line is magnificent! (Great for photography ) You can also have fun in the kids section . I'd definitely recommend this location for a first date.

Cute little park in Charlotte. Grabbed a coffee and raspberry croissant from nearby RUSH and ate it here. Nice way to start the day.

Fantastic park !!!!!!!! Glad to see it on prime property and not in a flood plain. It has a purpose and not just put there cause its worthless city owned land.

Really nice low key park with great view of Knights ballpark. Great for kids, dates, whatever.

Best city view and nice large area to relax or play

Great park to city watch, people watch , and take a stroll after dinner .

If the city has any sense they'll turn 3rd, Church or one other edge of the park into a food truck lot. Seriously.

Live music during lunch time (11:30 - 1:00) on Tuesdays and Fridays in September. Will resume again in April.

Best park in Uptown. Tons of activities and events to keep anyone busy!

Running or biking on a hot day? Run, bike or just stick your head under the waterfall for an instant cool down!

Beautiful scenery especially when a baseball ⚾ game is going on... Nice place to take the kids

A lot of dogs off leash if this bothers you go to 4th ward. Speed street is there this weekend.
