The best place for fish in the city for its class . No menu. Cash only , I have been going there for 20 years and the quality is consistently great. Get green salad , saganaki , calamari and any fish !

Journo Girl

The prices: $19-$25 per entree, sides $6 each. The apps are about $12 each. The branzino is a revelation! Get it & don't regret it! Best in Astoria. Seems like a great place for famiies 2. Lg portions

Elvis Rodricks

Iconic astoria establishment. The owner explains to you the types of fish they have (wild or farm ) and their tastes. Service was great too. got lucky with the seasonal soft shell crab !

Tony Xerri

As much as I love Taverna on Ditmars, the best octopus and soft shell crab live here. Yes they have no menu, yes they only accept cash, but so what? The food makes up for it tenfold.

Michael Vierra

Fresh, fresh, fresh. Wonderful experience and abundant dishes priced right. It also never hurts to have your Greek speaking friend by your side either.

Josh Guttman

One of Astoria's best finds. No menus, fresh fish and octopus , authentic Greek experience. Worth a drive

Liza P

Loved every thing we ordered. Grilled octopus us great! Calamari not overly fried and amazing

Sarah Porzelt

Great octopus , grilled veggies , get the fried cheese , great fish . Just takes forever to get the check.

Nicole Swetley

Grill fish oh yeah!!! and Bring the cash the Greek owner in year 2012 don't want to accept it...why?? only god knows and the IRS.

Carol Lee

The branzino was excellent, as were the scallop appetizer and fried potato slices - their version of french fries

Sandra Rubinchik

Yeah, yeah, get fish . You know the drill. But don't sleep on their tzatziki .

Nicole Swetley

Grilled octopus ! No menu, cash only .

Carla Meehan

Definitely get the soft shell crab ! Amazing!

Jessica Elias

No menu or decor, but everything is great, esp any whole grilled fishes ! Sit outside in the summer.

Jose Leon

Yesterday we were here, the food was not bad, we odered 4 dishes and the worse was the waiter brought the dishes at the same time. An older gentleman greeted us (probably Elias himself)

Mohammad Ali

Great fish as always

John Paul Reid

Listen to the waitress once. Also, DO order the seared scallops .

Ben Hsu

the scallops are enormous and meaty

Christina DeCurtis

The food was ok and the service has gotten better. However, Taverna is still the best. Elias is a bit overpriced and only accepts cash. Downer...

Dimitri Pavlović

My scallops were sweet and served without any side. The cod was overcooked and flavorless. They don't take credit cards and the decor is dollar store circa 1981. Never again.

Lisa Parrott

We had the st peters fish - very good.

Marlowe Lawenko

Get the grilled octpus! Best one in Astoria!

Marc Galindo

order the swordfish steak ... it's the most tender, superbly grilled swordfish you'll ever taste

Kevin Romero

place has NO menus, takes NO cards just cash, since you have no idea what the prices are the check is a real surprise.

Foodspotting

Try the Soft Shell Crab

Cynthia Drescher

Order the monkfish if they have it; second only to the swordfish

Van Sedita

Place is completely over priced! They also don't offer a menu. Food is good though.

Beer Goggins Goggin

Staff is a bit abrasive but not rude. No menus. Listen carefully to the specials. Fish is good but if you don't want to pick around bones, don't go here.

Andrea TK

La gente es un poco mal humorada pero este lugar tiene fama de ser el mejor restaurante de comida del mar en Astoria.
