Village Gate Square

I always loved browsing here w my parents as a kid. Kids would love spending an afternoon at Yankee Peddler toy shop, getting lunch , and then a cupcake at get caked . Then they can look at the art .

Mythic Treasures is on the first floor of Village Gate. Great selection of mystical magickal stuff! Lots of incense, candles, gemstones, tarot cards, etc

Actually it was a printing factory , Stecher Traung & Schmidt, printed all the boxes for Sarah Coventry Jewelry . I worked there in the early 70's. I think the mustard factory was next door.

Restaurants , shops and artists studios. Well worth a wander.

Favorite unique place on Rochester. Take out-of-towners here all the time to eat and show off the city .
