Well if you are here you just gotta do this. Steak is perfectly acceptable and they have some beers they brew on site that are decent but this is all about the tourist trap experience, just enjoy!
This place is crazy. Souvenir shop from cool to junky stuff. Some of its funny, some of it's just plain weird. I had the 3 rib appetizer , sweet potato , root beer , and strawberry shortcake . I was full.
While the actual steak isn't as good as Saltgrass in other cities in TX, the atmosphere is definitely more fun. The food is really good also. Definitely worth going to.
One of the best and creative steak houses in the world. I enjoyed my 25 oz steak while watching a group take on the 72 oz challenge. Full of weird animatronics, a shooting gallery , and Zoltar!
A great place to people watch , everyone from around the world comes to this place. This placed is filled with a myriad of attractions . The steak here is decent piece of meat. The dining room is a show
when you come to this place, you must definitely come very hungry. I love the atmosphere, the dishes, the portions, it is a taste of the old west, the paintings are a great touch.
If you're not keen on the 72oz Steak Challenge , get the "Man vs Food" meal: a more manageable 18oz steak , 3 fried shrimp , potato , and salad . I've finished it both times I've ordered it, tho VERY FULL!
A bit of a tourist trap, but lots of cool things to see and steaks are great!! It is usually crowded , but they get you seated and served quickly.
Atmospheres was good - Food was okay - as you would expect with lots of people there. 2 ribs (each comes with two sides) and a jug of pale ale was $77 including tip. Limo ride from accomodation great
Went with someone who's been before apparently they've went up on prices everyone I went with was not pleased with there steak but mine was AMAZING best steak I've had in a long time
6oz filet so good. Get the baked potato they give you all the fixins' for it. Hope that some bro is there attempting the 72oz challenge. Fun to watch!!
The other food joint, you MUST check out is the Big Texan Steak Ranch, where they give out FREE 72oz steaks . Small catch – you’ve gotta eat it in one hour, along with a table full of sides. Good luck!
Food and service was good. Got in quick and food came quick too. Fun time... great place to stop on our road trip.
I know this sounds crazy, but this restaurant actually invites the general public to come and eat here. Oh and if you can somehow down a giant 72 ounce steak with several filling sides you eat free.
Our steaks were cook to perfection! Huge portions for a reasonable price and can be shared they are so large. Some of. The decorations and themes are comical and can be related to Married w/ Children
72oz steak comes unseasoned (not even salt)to preserve the beef flavor. I get it but after splurging $200 bills for it... You'd want that steak to at least be made with a little bit of love.
The steak & margaritas were excellent. Amber was such a good waitress . Right up until she received her tip. You might want to receive all you want & then leave her a tip.
Order steak , naturally. A little disappointed though. We ordered a t-bone and a ribeye , both medium. The t-bone came med-well and the ribeye was rare.
I've eaten here twice in my travels and I must say the atmosphere is definitely the highlight. Don't get me wrong, the food is good, but it's definitely a tourist spot. I would stop again though!
Everything is delicious here. The rare is actually rare. Save room for dessert , I recommend the carrot cake !
On Man v Food, Adam Richman comes here to take on the restaurant 's legendary 72-oz. steak challenge : a mammoth steak , a shrimp cocktail , a baked potato , a side salad and a dinner roll .
Have the Bomb City Bock- it rocks! Really smooth beer . Love that this is close to the airport and they have free limo service !
We ate the Bar B Q Combo this time & it was delicious. The cook (red head) did a remarkable job. Thanks!
The thing to note here is the town is lovingly named after my beautiful bike . Though they do pronounce it differently :)
The regular steaks (not the 72 ouncer) are good. In house beers aren't life changing but worth a try.
Historic route 66 checkpoint. 45 minutes of waiting, but we had some fun with the electric chair guy.
Ask for samples on the beer so you can find the one you like. & sweet potatoes make a great side.
Definitely worth the stop. One family left because it was too expensive , but I think its quite reasonable. Wish the sweet potato was bigger
A must stop if you are in the area. The biggest rattle snake I have ever seen in the gift shop .
Had the breakfast plate , the biscuits and gravy was great. The steak wasn't are thick like other places but over not bad.
This was a lot of fun. Excellent service and great atmosphere. My 7 year old son loved it!
This fellow finished the 72oz challenge while we were here, with 8minutes to spare. He said he still had room for his beer !
An Amarillo Texas staple. Known for the 72 ounce steak challenge and it's unique atmosphere, including a pet snake.
A great experience for any visitor, good food, ambiance and a very nice gift store !
Amazing food and service. We'll worth the stop! Skip the tiny 6oz steak and jump to something bigger. The meat is so tender and juicy. Would come back in a heartbeat!
Don’t even think about trying the 72-oz steak challenge unless you are an eating pro. We’ve seen too many people defeated by the meat!
Special lunches is really good, make it sure you order the mountain oyster and chili is really superb in this place
It's really kitsch, but lots of fun. A must-do on a cross country road trip. Food was decent and not too overpriced.
Total tourist trap. I was a little disappointed in my steak . It was cooked to order but was little tough in parts. Sides were good. If your into beer , the flight is worth it.
IF YOU'RE A TRUCK DRIVER, STAY AWAY.DO NOT BRING YOUR TRUCK HERE.Unless you have an extra $1000 on top of your bill.Do not park your truck for the hotel either.Your semi will be towed while you sleep.
Surprisingly interesting craft beer selection . Try the smooth pale ale or the sweet porter . Weird, huh?
Some of the sides are good for vegetarians ... You know, in case you're like me and eating at a steak house ;)
Best bovine testicles I've had in a while.
The tomahawk steak is delicious. Their steak rub is top notch.
Probably the best steak I've ever had at a restaurant ! The 8oz isn't big enough! Yum!
Any steak you get will be perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked. Definitely try the Chocolate Bock Lager
I got the 18 oz ribeye and it was awesome!!!
If you like big steaks , YOU MUST try the Tomahawk $66
Steaks are great and the rolls are to die for ... YUM
Love the place, the people (service),and food! !!
Great meal at an affordable cost with great staff. Recommend this place highly. - David
The salmon and the halibut were outstanding. The vegetable side were perfect; not over-cooked, but crisp. It really is a great place for intimate meal. Next time we try it for lunch. - Scott Clark
The service was good. The ribs were great. The Bleu Cheese hamburger was great. The portions are large and the food is VERY fresh. The seasonal vegetables were excellent. - Jim Kinter
Really cool art and fun experience for just a quick look off the highway! - Amanda Smith
Love stopping here so I can go over to Buckle's Lounge and play some pool. Plus they have karaoke on Saturday nights. - Nathan Fletcher
Manager on Duty - Jay, was wonderful to my girls. We have had a horrible day of travel & he was friendly, kind & attentive. NEVER see that kind of behavior in a FF joint so kudos & thanks! - Lori D
