Did you know? The garden is based on Korakuen, one of Japan’s Three Great Gardens , built in 1700 in Okayama , Japan. The ponds are stocked with koi sent from Okayama in 1966.
So fun feeding the koi fishes . Bring plenty of quarters. $6 parking but free admission . Perfect for a low key afternoon.

Free entry, paid parking . Walk around the park can be as short as half hour. Visited June/2023, there's no water in the pond and the red bridge is closed.
Come here when the leaves are changing colors for an awesome pond that's filled with different colored leafs

Never make the mistake of going to the washroom here - near the Koi fishes place. Its poorly maintained and broken. Try to hold it until you get out and go somewhere else. Had a terrible experience.

The food from the BBQ is pretty awesome- the chicken Philly & the tri-tip in particular are excellent :-) - Katie M
