The Parthenon is an exact replica of the one in Athens. A giant statue of Athena is inside. $7 to see the inside, but worth it.

It is currently under construction so maybe not as pretty as it could be but still a nice place to spend the afternoon. Plus they have an adult swing near the playground .

Great for a walk / run (Beware of stationary photographers ). Also, lots of ducks!

This is a good place for a stroll or to see one of the many events that take place here. I'm a big fan of Musician 's Corner that happens in the Spring and Summer.

The duck pond is an irresistible draw for young kids! Bring a picnic lunch and let the young ones run free on the acres of open lawn. Festivals and fairs abound so check their calendar for dates.

Probably one of my favorite urban parks . I discovered a little lake , an old military plane and a train on this trip to Centennial!

Check the website for events . In the summer, there are frequent concerts , dance lessons, fairs/markets, etc.

It's a really good place to come with the the family. And if you're into volleyball you can play that as well .

Great place to bring visitors on a nice, sunny day. Bring a book and blanket and stay a while. :)

There is a geocache spot near the Parthenon. It is on the corner of one of the cement blocks at the bottom near the walkway. Look for the broken corner and open it up.

One of the best area in Nashville by far. Perfect to bike , walk , run, picnic or just chill !!! Don't forget to visit the parthenon !!!

The free Saturday night big band dances are so much fun. 7 p.m to 10 p.m. under the band shelter, all summer long. Swing , latin, ballroom .
