San Jose Municipal Rose Garden

Gorgeous retreat from the craziness that is Silicon Valley. There is plenty of street parking available and you can easily kill a half hour touring the grounds, enjoying the fountain and relaxing.

The Rose Garden is particularly beautiful in spring, when the roses bloom (duh). It's a great place to walk the dog, play some frisbee , picnic , or hang out on a beautiful sunny day.

Beautiful park and amazing roses ! Great picture spot, but need permit for commercial photography . Perfect for picnics and rest.

This isn't just roses although that's the focus. There are lots of trees , a nice fountain , and a nice large grassy area as well . A little something for everyone! Only, don't pick the roses .

The 5½ Acre Park was built in 1927 as a result of efforts by the Santa Clara County Rose Society.This garden is dedicated to shrubs of the rose family,and has now collected over 3,500 rose bushes.

Free. Great place to have a picnic , take beautiful photography or just spend some time relaxing.

Beautiful -- so many flowers , a pond/fountain thingy with ducks and baby ducks in it.

Go south on Naglee Ave, get a sandwich , a bag of chips and a soda at Zanotto's, then go back north and get a good book at the library and have an extended lunch between the roses .

Go in the summer when the roses are in bloom , they're gorgeous!

Bring a blanket and have a picnic !
