Mumok is the largest postmodern art museum in Central Europe. Here, the various aspects of the international and Austrian avant-garde are made accessible to everyone interested in the arts .
Nice museum . Hint: read about exhibitions in advance (they can be not for everybody). If you don’t have a lot of time and deciding between museums , try Leopold Museum or Albertina
The shop inside is one of the smallest but coolest museum shop I've ever seen, They have many beautiful design and extravagant accessories !
5 floors of art - min 1.5 hours is required to see all exhibitions . Variety of themes, techniques and artists so that everyone could find art to their taste. Nice cafe abovf cashier
Check out the bouncy exhibit in the -2 floor.
I love the shop, it's really different from the other museum shops. The museum is only for fans of modern art so don't expect something else and then be unhappy.
Expositions were not very easy to understand - need to read a lot, but liked the organization and shop! You can also buy combo ticket with other places.
big fan of mumok here! there is always an interesting exhibition to see.. last time i was in vienna, there was 'reflecting fashion' exhibition and now 'lights' by dan flavin . both were great.
A black-basalt world-class museum in the MuseumsQuartier that hosts rotating shows and has a floor dedicated to the 1960’s art movement known as Actionism.
Brush your teath or they look like this and you wont be able to enjoy art anymore in this awesome museum !
Such a great museum . They had the best avant-garde feminist collection when I visited. I highly recommend it.
Robert Indiana, Jasper Johns, Roy Lichtenstein, Claes Oldenburg, Robert Rauschenberg, James Rosenquist, and Andy Warhol ! What else you need?!
The permanent collection in the basement offers a unique perspective on art : the backs of the paintings are visible!
The building is simply amazing, although the major part of the collection is horrifying like many other contemporary art museums .
Impressive exterior and interior. If I lived in Vienna I would definitely get a season pass.
It depends on the exhibition . I caught Cosima von Bonin and it was a highlight of my trip.
Simply put - one of the best urban oases in the world! ❤️
Great venue, the content is OK. A photography exibition could have made the experience worth the visit.
Really striking architecture and interesting modern art exhibits . Students get 4€ off the entry price.
Exhibitions can be hit or miss, but the building is a work of art itself. Definitely worth a visit.
Well , it's modern art museum ... The place where every single object is art if you said so.
Dan Flavin "Lights" - Visual sensations managed to start a fun game with the gallery space and give it a new life!
Really great museum if you fancy contemporary art . Don't forget to visit the shop.
The Museum of Modern Art in the MuseumsQuartier focuses its attention on the art of the 20th and 21st centuries.
The window in the last floor has a fabulous view .

amazing building. pop. art exposition no so good. two drawings from warhol though :-)
Nice building, but quite poor collection. Incomparable to nice museums of other European capitals. Better see a more classical places in Vienna.
Only if you’re huge fan of modern art an enjoy starring at the garbage on the postament.
Whatever the lady at the entrance tells you about the exhibition starting on level 4, start on level 0 and don't forget to grab a textbook.
OpArt exhibit was a lot of fun!

You can save an Euro on wardrobe if you put your clothes on the locker ????
Interesting music exhibit !
Such an interesting museum .
Almost nothing to see, it's really for people invested into modern arts
Easy museum to enjoy because they leave white space in between the pieces. Nice shop.
