Nothing beats a few hours at a Balinese market to master the art of bargaining. A colourful sarong is the ultimate souvernir whilst painting and wood carvings also make nice pieces to take home.

There are a lot of locally-produced market finds that can be brought home for a good value . Haggling is a norm and the price can go as low as half of the initial price .

Want bargains? Come early in the morning and haggle away. It's a custom of theirs to never refuse the first sale of the day. But don't go overboard, they need to make a living anyway.
At the major intersection a big building filled with handicraft stalls. Some might call this art stalls. Haggle like you've never haggled before. Next door is produce market . Is nicer.

Shirts , paintings , none cheap here. You'll only get the best for your money to buy small table decors, woodcarving, and such.
To help give an idea, what I paid: sarong = 15,000 / double sized batik designed blanket = 100,000 / not cheesy want to be havaianas = 15,000.
