On your way in, stop at Safeway in Lahina (5 min. away) and stock up on breakfast and snack items, which are a rip-off at the resort . Villa guests have free BBQ's available, too!

Skip molokini crater and spend your money on weekly rental of snorkel gear . The reef off the north villas has an awesome reef with more fish and turtles .

Rooms are great! Pools could be more varied and the slide is fun. Everything is pricey though.

Top notch SPG resort , very clean , huge villas , but expensive

Even though the north proper is newer, the south is much nicer. Larger rooms, more open lobby, better pool layout, more pool servers, and a slide! Always head to the south, if you can.

AM happy hour ends at 10:30. PM happy hour from 4-6pm. Also ask about the drink of the day.

These are villas and not hotel rooms. Don't expect tge same style or treatment. If you look at it as a rented apartment , its a very nice experience.

Need help? Concierge is by every elevator lobby, the pools, and the main lobby on both sides.

Food at the resort is overpriced. Walk next door to Castaways or across the highway to the food trucks for cheap , delicious grinds (food.)

Rent beach chairs at snorkel bobs or boss frogs. $15 for the week or pay $10 a day at the resort !

I love this place, it is like my second home.

The adult pool is nice for adults to swim and not have kids around them......

Be sure to pick up the drink of the day while lounging by the pool! Nothing beats a Kaanapali Cooler and some sun!

Try the ahi salad at the grill & bar by the poolside

The Honoa Kai has a nice market with more variety as another option in walking distance

Snorkeling better here than on the tours

Good snorkeling just off the hotel beach . Saw a sea turtle swim by.

Fish Tacos at the Ocean's Bar and Grill - best of the best. Tasty Blue Hawaii and Lava Flow drinks!

If you are looking for waves paddle a little north from the hotel there are a couple small reef breaks.

We had a very bad experience with a racist shuttle driver. The hotel apologized and the driver kept working like nothing happened.

Costco by the airport is key!

The hotel store has lots of basic groceries if you run out.

Worst overall Westin experience I ever had staying here from the restaurant to housekeeping. I recommend you stay up the road at the Ritz Carlton.

Planning to use a pullout sofa bed? You're better off on the floor. The pullout mattress is horrendous for a Westin.
