On the best nights, they sneak in a live band & confine them to a corner on the first floor. If you want to be a Pro, listen & tip 'em; if you want to show off moves with your date, then go upstairs .
Great happy hour hangout. However, it can be a bit noisy (music is way too loud ) and it gets crowded Thursday/Friday nights). They have Greens Gluton Free beer and cider !
Was very happy watching the Raiders play New Orleans at 1:00 today until all the TVs switched to the Seattle game at 4:00. Shame on you Central Bar for not allowing me to see the end of my game!
Seahawks central, but won't hold that against them. Excellent selection of draft & bottled beers . One of a few places in the city you can find Red Hook beer on tap .
Looking to watch a Chelsea Football Club match in Manhattan? Central Bar has you covered.
I took refuge here during a snowstorm. It was one of the few places that was still open. It was really cozy . Not many people. Felt like how I imagine a bar would feel in the midwest.
Bartender upstairs (Amanda?) was fast with her pours and always friendly , even as a seemingly endless barrage of orders were flying her way. And I doubt she was just nice because of my good looks.
Central Bar is serving the Silver Saint Cocktail , a refreshing take on a margarita , for NYC Cocktail Week (July 13th through the 17th). Read more
Great Irish pub to watch rugby or football at the downstairs bar and then to continue your evening upstairs in the lounge and on the dance floor .
My favourite bar in NYC,owned by the lovely Jimmy from Kenmare,Co Cork. Great atmosphere & staff especially Rosangela:-)
The best waitress in town : Sydnei. She truly is a sweetheart and she shines! Btw, they've got many draft beers ! Go for it!!!
Really good service and good beer choice . Stay for that and the TV . Food is rather bland. Lillies at Union Square is way better in Nachos and Sandwiches .
I wonder if Irish people visiting bars like this feel the same way that Japanese people feel when they watch American anime conventions
Love the music here! Fun late night dancing upstairs . Wifi : centralbarisland1
Good for a pint or for watching a soccer match. A hidden bar right off Astor Place.
Great beers and food (omg try the nachos ) and the staff is amazing!!! Love this place!
They were really accommodating about changing channels to let us watch the football games we wanted to.
Happy hour from 3 - 7 Monday thru Friday draft beer $4. Well drinks $4 house wine $5. 16 oz Guinness instead of 20 oz. That gets the thumbs down from me
Good spot for happy hour . Lively but not overcrowded like many other places in the area.
Decent Happy Hour ; Make sure to try the nachos !
good spot to watch games last night, good food, been here before, christopher was great bartender , he & jessica really took care of us, loved my easter jokes, hate that my friends had to wait in line Read more
Come for the football and the accomdating staff . Cross your fingers with everything else
good food. decent drinks. tired music . whack crowd that reeks of pretense and utter douchebaggery. this is a long island person's "night out in the city "
Quiet place to watch Chelsea on weekend mornings.
Ask Chad Stoller for the wifi password. Ask Mark Himmelsbach for a Blue Point . Ask Kristin Maverick for the dance party
6 Nations Rugby Championship matches are shown here. The pub has a good reputation for watching soccer matches. Kitchen opens early.
Saturday nights are best. Good spot to watch a game durring the day too.
Great Oregon Ducks bar .
Sean and Berry are the best bartenders ever, ask Sean about his finger
$4.80 ATM Fee
Good selection of beer at reasonable prices. Cheeseburger was mediocre but got the job done.
Spicy pickles 2 for $3 are awesome! Damn spicy !
Great neighborhood hang. Soccer on one TV , football on the other.
Such good nachos ! And music ! And bartenders !
Awesome burgers ! They go great with the Radenberger Pilsner ...
Welcome to Central Bar! Make sure you tip the staff here well -- they're awesome. Cheers, The Mayor:)
Stories left and right...Almost makes me forget m.bur I can't forget
Why did they change this perfect afterworld, neighborhood drinking establishment?!
The upstairs lounge is where it's at on the weekends.
While you wait for your table at Ippudo come here for a drink.
Happy hour there is the best
Best place to watch the Seahawks win!
Christopher is the nicest bartender ever! But don't tell him that I told you, it'll ruin his image! :-)
Never ate a Burger there but shook my ass till it lost 15 lbs!! Love love love the djs/bartenders/bouncers ;-)
Asian fetish? No problem. Central Bar's your spot, boys.
Wow this place changes late night on a Friday. Upstairs dance party = good music but the crowd is...interesting.
Every English premier league game. Wifi password is ireland1
Try the central bar beer
Only go on a Saturday night if you get there early or if you're an idiot.
Try their house wings n sauce!!
The pulled pork fries are life changing. They also have the place done up real nice for Christmas - Dan Fetzner
Probably some of the most delicious Pork Buns. Also, the cucumber appetizer is a must. My go-to place for ramen. - Erin Shea
