One of the better Chinese bakeries in Chinatown with fresh baked buns and dense, sweet taro puffs. There are many Fay Da locations around the city , but this one bakes on-site.
Loved the cinnamon roll which was the right amount of sweetness and cinnamon on each layer. The passion fruit green tea with coconut jelly is one of the best I've ever had in NY including spots in BK
In addition to the sweet stuff, Fay Da serves up steamed and baked savory buns and pies ; come in for a feast and expect the place to be packed at all hours. Read more
This ever-busy bakery has an extensive variety of sweet and savory pastries , buns , and cakes . Come earlier in the day to get the fresher goods!
Long-standing favorite for locals! Freshest self-serve baked goods and refreshing beverages like bubble tea to boot.
Try their tofu pudding soy milk with herbal jelly , it's new for the summer and it's delicious
Sticky buns were incredible so much flavor in the bun and filling. Had the mango mochi which was also delicious

Just around the corner from Tai Pan, another solid choice for Chinese bakery goods. Grab a bun and take it on the go if you're hungry.
Vanilla sponge rolls are amazing. Little Asian ladies will always try and jump the line in front of you. Try not to get upset. It's just part of the experience.
The best Fay Da location; they bake on site here throughout the day.
one of my steamed chinese sausage bun spots in chinatown
Amazing! Everything is awesome, the pork buns and cheese and raisins bread are amazing!
Didnt like the pork buns there. Affordable pastries and the rest was tasty. Boba tea available too
Pork buns and the sponge cake were very fluffy. Delicious! Only 1.10 dollars and that's a steal in Manhattan!!
Eat their DELICIOUS and addictive round loaf of sweet butter bread and then take a nap for the rest of the day.
Nice quality bakery rolls fresh daily. Come just before closing and get items for a discount .
The mochi balls can keep up to one week. They're available in three flavors: coconut , taro and mango .

The baked roast pork bun sold here is definitely the best in Chinatown. The filling is tender and savory-sweet and the outer shell baked to the perfect sheen. Best of all, it's a mere $1. - Lori Luo
I've had over 6 cakes here and my strongest recommendation still goes out to the Blueberry Chiffon Cake. You can't go wrong! - Betty
