One of the best (and most unique) atmospheres a restaurant could have: speakeasy feel, comfy library-esque chairs, gorgeous decor. Ask for a Ramos Gin Fizz , it won't disappoint! Food was ok.

Tucked away above the Downtown Mall , The Alley Light serves up great cocktails . Try the West Indian Planter's Punch -- the drink is refreshing and comes in an awesome tiki glass.

Everything we ate & drank was incredibly delicious. The chorizo & chick pea puree special was amazing and the pork belly was our favorite small plate . Definitely order a cocktail , they were fantastic.

Cocktails , all the French food , ambience, secret location, comfy seating , lots of cloth to muffle the sounds, Django and jazz music . The Hot Club of Charlottesville.

Eric C

Hidden gem , tucked away in a side street off the downtown mall . Outstanding cocktails though the bartenders seemed aloof unless you're a regular. That's okay but not a good way to get new regulars.

Scott Anderson

Amazing cocktails , loved the dealer's choice and I'm guessing it is amazing every time.

Karly Goten

A happening spot with delicious and unique food and drinks. Servers and bartenders are great as well !

The pork rillette is over-the-top. More rich and luxurious than rillette you'd eat in France.

Jessica Hiemenz

Great affordable drinks (compared to boston) and super cute atmosphere. Lack vegan options on menu though.

Amy P.

Lovely, cozy little speakeasy-like joint. Friendly staff , yummy cocktails !

Cosy and relatively unknown, though a bit on the pricey side. Also, told me that vaping wasn't allowed. :/
