The City Diner

Breakfast and lunch seven days a week, 6am till 2pm. Police and Firefighters always know the good spots to eat and The City Diner is a favorite of both.

Have a seat at the bar and open yourself to conversation. Dear Mr. Shaw has been a regular here "since before I was born" and has a wealth of KC knowledge .

Tom Van Fleet

Not ‘amazing’ but definitely worth a visit. Sit at the old-timey counter.

One of my favorite spots for breakfast . Get the pancake ...just one though...it's the size of a hubcap.

Brian Freeman

Their biscuits and gravy was literally the size of a steering wheel. It was huge, and it tasted great. The only thing left desired was the service, but as long as they have good food, I'll live.

Steven H.

If you do the pancake challenge, order them one at a time and eat the first one as fast as you can. Also, reserve a couch for the rest of the day. :)

Brian Lowry

Great bacon ! And the hashbrowns have got to be cooked in butter Crisco! Breakfast goldmine!

J Haden

Not on the menu , but it's the No. 13 and it's awesome.

Big appetite? Ask about The Big Biscuit (off menu ). Cash only place.

Ordering a side of biscuits with a side of gravy will get you an extra half biscuit for 5¢ more.
