Pretty much a Montréal visitor's must go-to… since it's even open late at night, you haven't a reason not to. Don't say it's because of the temperatures - even I waited in frigid -16°F temperatures!
Coming from northern England, chips and gravy is a diet staple. Poutine kicks that shits arse. I had the La Rachel with vegan sauce, all I remember is thinking 'please don't end' with every bite.
Friend that lived here recommended La Elvis and it delivered! Enough curds and gravy to last the whole plate! Fries were delicious! Great service and atmosphere. Offers salads and sandwiches too!
They’ve been around for more than 50 years! When we arrived in the country through Toronto, the Imigration officer suggested us to eat Poutine at La Banquise! It was really good, heavy though!
Banquise is a Montreal must try for poutine ! Always crowded , I like to keep it simple, classic poutine and hot dogs ! And they have awesome veg options & their poutine gravy is vegetarian !
Great vegetarian and vegan poutine options. Highly recommend La Rachel (pepper , mushroom , onion ) with vegan gravy .
THE go-to spot for poutine in montréal. i personally don't think it's the best poutine in town , but they have very creative variations & electric ambiance after bars close, like a greasy after hours.
ordered la taquise per rec: the guacamole , sour creme and tomatos were a surprisingly perfect complement to the classic poutine . the cheese curds were especially amazing & chewy.
Get the l'obelix poutine . Smoked meat is the perfect addition. The burger was great too!
If you're looking for a late night snack in Montreal, this is the place to go. It's open 24 hours and the T-Rex Poutine is greasy enough to subdue part of the hangover you'll probably have in the AM.
super delicious poutine ! variety in poutine and other things on the menu. expect a line , but it's worth it! open 24h. has a menu in english and in french.
Waited in line for 20 mins, but it was worth it! Regular size is good enough for one person, and try it with sour cream or guacamole ! So good????????
If you're a fan of meat with your poutine , get the T-Rex! (Si vous aimez les viande avec vos poutine , demandez le T-Rex!)
Regular Fred Caillou pretty good, albeit too much for one. Lots of meat (pretty tasty) & gravy not too strong, not overwhelming the dish. Cheese curds pretty squeaky & the fries were quite crispy .
Plenty of options! Pontine is killer here. Their regular is way more than enough for one person. I'll give the burgers a try next time I'm here. Only bummer is that they don't accept credit cards.
The poutine is amazing! You can make a large number of them vegetarian by substituting vegan gravy (just make sure they hear you right and make the substitution). Late at night they ask you to prepay.
It’s very busy, people are waiting in line up. Big menu, very good poutine , big portions . Sometimes it looks like a food factory . A cool place. Prices are good/cheap
The best poutine in Montreal. We went twice over a short weekend. The line might be intimidating but it's worth it
They do vegan poutine ! Wowweeee! So good to have one without dairy. The lines quite long, so get in quick. And please know what you're ordering, don't hold the queue up for ages
Share the classic in a regular size between two people. Cash or debit card only but they have an atm machine inside.
Best poutine place I've been so far. I recommend "Elvis" if you like beef . If you just want a classic simple one I'd suggest Maxi poutine in "Les 3 Brasseurs" rather than the classic poutine here.
Le Poutine is a delicious dish! Try the classic or maybe the bacon one! You'll love this place
It’s still one of the best poutines in the city and a great first ???? !
The poutine is great! There is many choices of poutine and you can put extras in it so there is a lot of combinations! Go on the terrace !
Vegan option : la Rachel with vegan sauce. Watch out for big groups. Portions on the poutine are huge. Don't recommend getting anything larger than the regular size
Ordered La Matty, added hot dogs . The poutine tasted great, and there's a big selection if you're feeling adventurous. The service was okay, it was busy and it took a while for the server notice us.
So gooooood. Try the Shoot out. Best to change to@pepper sauce and goat cheese . But everything's amazing!!!
Tons of options. Vegan and vegetarian as well . Good food, eclectic vibe. Kind of the “Voodo Donuts ” of poutine . Be prepared to wait.
A benchmark for poutine in Montreal. You can customize your poutine . The menu really joined any type of cuisine. A must: it's opened late .
If you're visiting Montreal for the first time and have time for only one poutine stop, it has to be here. And it's opened 24h. ;-)
The best poutine , a great selection and value for money . Worth the hype!
Cold cheese curds and warm gravy . Probably the best poutine I've ever had, nothing else compares. Stick to the classic or try the la hot dog
The poutine of dreams, all kinds of crazy combos to suit your fancy , open 24/7!
The selection of poutine is crazy!! Its a must in montreal. Original poutine restaurantm sometimes the line up long but usualy its around after bar closing time!!
Arguably the best poutine in the world. Definitely the best in Montréal! Get the Classique after a late night out.
Classique Poutine was a bit blend but still good. Not enough gravy for my taste. Have a regular portion! It's huge. Service just about ok but not great. Will come back to try different Poutine .
I went there on a Sunday around 3pm and it was packed! 20 minute wait. The staff is very nice and so is the food, but I liked the poutine better elsewhere...
By far the best meal I've had, and the vegetarian options are quite expansive. I went here two nights in a row. Only complain is that the service is a bit abrasive.
The Savoyard poutine as the guacamole poutine is good. You should just take a small one because it so much fat and enough.
Classic poutine !!! Best I have ever had. Worth the wait in queue
OMG poutine heaven right there even though touristy . Iliked the one with the roasted vegetables
It's not the best Poutine in #Montréal there is many good place such as Poutineville to go! But they have different kind of style which is cool
It’s all good and tasty but BEWARE, you’ll roll like a fucking ball outside being too full ????
La T-rex poutine . Line up out the door, but worth the wait. Get a regular sized poutine , its more than enough.
Delicious veggie options ! Went on a Tuesday around 7 pm and it wasn't packed. Service was quick too.
Really good stuff. If the line is long can get takeout , no waiting.
The regular size poutine is a full meal. I fully recommend ???? to cut through the density
Best poutine I've had so far. Try La Boogalou!
Try the one with guacamole and sour cream . There are some really interesting and filling things to add onto the poutine .
Hands down the BEST poutine I have ever had! The cheese curds are large and squeaky, the fries are extra crispy , and the gravy is delicious. Plenty of variety to choose from.
Great place to try poutine if you're visiting Montreal. You can create a custom poutine if you'd like, but stick to the classic for the real Monteal experience. - Nate S
Enjoyed the classic poutine, although I'd recommend you start with a small size & buy more if you want it. Very filling! - Tom Maxwell
The pizza is something that you won't believe! Poutine is also great, better of bacon than smoke meat. - Juan Miguel Echeverri
Summer or winter, this is a great place to walk around. There are streams and ponds, and in the winter the tobogganing is superb. - John Matheson
Great views. If you’re visiting, be sure to take the path behind McGill that leads up the mountain. That’s your fastest way to the top. - Alex Tsu
